Can you tell me, when you fitted the new cylinder did you have to make any settings or adjustments to it? I’ve been informed that it’s not a simple case of bolting it on & reconnecting the hoses,….essentially you need to make sure it operates in accordance with movement of the steering wheel, and to do that there’s something on the cylinder that needs fiddling with. The person I spoke do wasn’t great at explaining so apologies if my question has you scratching your head - I’d very much like to fit a new cylinder to my 5211 & would benefit from any assistance you can give, if there’s anything beyond what’s covered in the video please let me know🙏🏻 Thx.

Nope, I just put it on and let it fill with fluid. I think it’s worth mentioning that afterwards I did replace the oil in the reservoir. Should have done it before the cylinder replacement but oh well. It calls for 10 weight hydraulic oil. I used ATF. Hope this helps. I’m not sure what kind of fiddling it would need. 🤷🏻♂️ It’s just a hydraulic cylinder as far as I know.

@@beesprojects2692 Thanks for the prompt response, I appreciate it. I’m pretty unsure what the mechanic meant also,.. perhaps it’s a different part of the system? I’ve stumbled across a YT video in Romanian by a guy overhauling the cylinder,..in the translated comments there’s references to the steering only turning right etc,..so there definitely seems to be room to come ‘unstuck’ in this endeavour😂🫣… By the way, any & all content relating to this tractor is greatly appreciated,…I’m starting from a very low base..
