A few tips. 1. Ideally get hold of a board with a daggerboard- a fin in the center of the board. Helps stability a lot for beginners, helps to stop the board from turning into the wind 2. Rig the sail with much more downhaul. The mast should be much more bent and try to adjust the mast extension so there isnt a big gap at the bottom 3. Make sure you are trying to sail perpendicular to the wind, you don't want to be sailing upwind or downwind when learning. Just back and to across the same line. 4.Look forwards and make sure the front foot is facing forwards or else you will go sideways. Don't give up , its the best sport in the world , but takes a bit of effort at first.
