Wow much better than the companies ive worked for. Cheap beat up used Trucks bought 20 years ago to be replaced never lol

From what I have heard and seen they are stick. Don’t know how many gears though. Maybe 13 or 18 speeds

Truck Driver is probably given a budget, they’re gonna have the best knowledge.

Some teams have contracts with specific manufacturers, (RFK and International, Hendrick and Penske with Freightliner) some just pick the brand that they want. I would assume the truck drivers have some sort of input, but do not know.

If the 54 trailer was replaced in 2019 and they last about 15 years, that means that hauler saw Bobby Labonte’s 18, JJ Yeley’s 18, and ofc KB’s 18. wow that’s a long time

I would assume the trucks would be at whatever dealership they lease them from. As far as the haulers probably Like featherlite dealerships if they are featherlite trailers. EBAY MAYBE EVEN

"the 18 team" isn't a real thing. It has no assets. Zero. None. It's all owned by JGR and rewrapped each year anyway for a new team/sponsor set.

We don’t want them to die in the middle of a season so we just take the preventative measure and get them replaced every few years

Cost of maintenance is also factor. When the cost outweighs payments or too much down time it’s not worth keeping.

@yamaszlofmcdurkin and the only reason I said my original comment that way is because if you took your cdl test they only referred to it as a tractor trailer. But nice try😂
