I recently discovered your channel, and I am really enjoying it, finding many usefull tips. And thanks for being so sincere about your “click catching titles” 😊 Many times we look for “the secret recipe for happiness/success/perfect shape…”, and would like someone to tell us EXACTLY HOW TO DO! That is what you promise in the title… and never precisely satisfy. BUT not (obviusly) satysfing, you give us way more than what you promise: inspiration, self esteem, a technique to practice.

you were not the only one 😉. the thing is the internet is full of of CO2 tolerance related articles and videos for longer breathholds. so people start to think that this is indeed the way to "train" for a longer breath hold. The reality is that for most beginners (and the vast majority of freedivers are beginners) what stops them from holding longer is (subconscious) anxiety and the inability the relax through the uncomfortable. That is where the focus should be on. Now one way to get there is indeed follow some kind of training program, which soon will be available 😁. Peace ✌️

Okay, if co2 isn't stopping most people ( maybe many have some advantage on co2 based on past or genetics). How do you explain, i dove 50m easy, no contractions on descent. Removed weights as suggested by ic instructor trainer and for 2 months had contractions from 35. Added weight again by mistake (changed from 5mm to 3mm suit and forgot to remove kilos) and dove 55 no contractions on descent. Now I'm commited to minimum 3month co2 training 5days/wk ~ following basic training principles.

@@xristos1250 my videos are for beginners. that doesn't include 50m+ divers. my channel gives advice for beginning divers up to let's say max 30-35m. When you dive 50m you have mastered the skills already. That being said I do 60m+ no fins and I've never committed to CO2 tables. however I've done tables like 8 x 20m cnf and I've done pool training off course. but never static Co2. every discussion starts with determining whom the advice is for and what you understand under a certain word. we could argue what Co2 tables are. what are they anyway? every kind of session with multiple dives is a Co2 training on itself.

I do dynamic Co2 tables not static. I am not interested in static discipline so it makes sense to get as specific as possible, hence no statics. I just felt it is missleading to a beginner and make them feel like they are just not made for freediving saying i do 60m cnf(that is mad :D congrats) without co2 training. I talked about my experience as an example. In my opinion it's either you have for some reason great co2 tolerance or you have to work on it. Do you think thats the case ? do you think co2 tolerance training works? ( i have not made up my mind yet but you see many divers and have huge experience.)

@@xristos1250 you are right I should have been more clear about the things I say. 1/ my advice is for beginners. 0-35m: no Co2 training is needed. not static, not dynamic and certainly not vertical. 2/ when i said I never did Co2 tables I referred the static classic Co2 tables. the old school static Co2 tables. The only time I did those was to know what it was about. I can count the sessions on 1 hand. Off course I've done dynamic Co2 training. that's where you lay the base for deep diving. I should have been more clear about that. Your situation I don't consider beginners level. All I say applies to beginners. Is it wrong to do CO2 tables? off course not. But I think there are better ways to make progress as a beginner. Co2 tables focus to much on numbers and go too hard into contractions which eventually crates adversity toward ls training. Thanks for pointing out certain things. The topic of CO2 training needs more attention and I'll make follow up videos on this. cheers

hi Brian. I think I mentionned twice in the video I'm in the process of writing a training program. I hope - after watching this video - that you will understand there is no answer to your question. What is a co2 table anyway? there are so many different kinds, with different intensities depending on the level of the person. If you are looking for an answer in terms of a number, then you're simply asking for something that isn't there. Maybe this video explains things better : kzfaq.info/get/bejne/iLiPYJd81526Z2w.html PS. I'm a 60m+ no fins diver and I never do Co2 tables. Maybe that's an answer? 😉

Your program does indeed guarantee results of 2-3 minute breath hold in little as 2 weeks when done twice a day.

hey✌️ I'm not sure what program you're talking about because I have many different breath hold exercises / tables on my channel. The point im making here is that it doesn't matter. All these exercises are just a way to get you started and become familiar with breath holding. That being said: soon I'll write a training program which will be available on digital.gertleroy.com 🙏
