Appreciate your videos just found them today. I had locs for a while. Cut them because of thinning at the roots. Was instructed the wrong amount of times to get my locs twisted. Second journey will better thanks to these vids. And new meaning for having them. Rambling, Thanks!

I retwist anywhere between 2 months minmum and 4 months max and that really depends on life. If i got an event and i gotta be fly then you know im comming harddddd with that retwist

This was a big help because all my kids have dreads and I was doing it every two weeks and I notice that their was thinning but I also like for it to look nice due to them being in school but I see now THANK YOU THANK YOU THANK YOU!!!!!

I get my hair retwisted every 2 to 3 months and just keep my fade and edge up Tight and I’m good to go....... I wish you could start enter viewing your subscribers to show other subscribers how their Loc journey is coming along like me😀that would be dope that would be good content!!!!!!!!! Well you know I left my hair a WHOLE YEAR!!!! without retwisting and it was the best decision I made!!!! 😉However now I probably go 3-4 months I like seeing my Locs not Retwisted I like the fullness it gives. 😊

Good video, i retwisted every month my first year but I kept it covered so it stayed clean now on my second year I may go 3-4 months at a time but of course wash every two to three weeks depending on what I do that mont but if I can I only want to retwist 3-4 times this year so my roots stay super thick and strong.

When I first started getting retwists I waited for 6 months so my new growth could get thicker and stronger but now my new loctician retwist my locs every two months and I guess that's better for me. I rather go 3 months.

When i first got my dreads, my mom was to busy to retwist so during the whole year i just maintained my hairs health until she would retwist them. Now im in college and do it myself once a month and i love it. Its growing happy and healthy

My son is 4 months into his locs.... And they are STILL not locking.... Ive been using locking gel the whole time... Should I go with wax instead?

No worries his hair will eventually loc, it may take any where between a yr or 2 but trust. It will loc, I suggest stayin away from wax since it will cause buildup. With locs you have to be patient, the end result will surprise you. Both you and your son will be thankful. God bless, take care.

I use the crochet method. Its so much better and less stressfull on your roots. I was damn near bout lose one of my dreads it was thinning at the root and i was only retwisting like every month n a half or 2 months. That shit saved my dreads lol. and you only need to get it done like every 3-4 months which allows your roots to be strong and thick. Just my 2 cents

LEXTRO DAMUS that method almost took me out the game and damaged my loc. But you say it saved yours that just shows us. You Locs just have to be maintained properly and with care. I don’t think any method is better than the other as loc as there is no tension being out on your Locs
