Not really. He cheated a world class athlete out of his opportunity to have his talents recognized. I think that stings even more knowing that was kept from you. That's actually the point. The gold medal ruined him because he didn't earn it and everyone knew it. Had Jones been announced the rightful winner, Park would have been honored to take home the silver. I have no idea how great Jones would have been without the extra anger from the Olympic snub had he won the gold, but Park's life would have gone much different if he came home a hero for winning the silver.

Roy landed way more punches in this fight anyways, those judges needed to be knocked out in a back alley.

This is a true statement amateur boxing is not as significant as it was in the past, particularly the olympic games. It's good for a showcase of talent but the problem is not only with the way the fights are scored but also the lack of quality judges. And payoffs and kickbacks. People who become judges need to be people of high integrity. It's happening in the professional ranks as well.

they don't technically own the medals. I think they can gift them, but if he did it in this controversial way they'd probably take it. Same with grammy's, Oscars, etc. You don't technically own it.
