This is great. I have a few questions: (1) on the surface of the cell, why does the TMPRSS2 protease cleave the spike in the first place? Is this a defensive tactic for the cell? (2) And how exactly does the virus bring the protease code along with it? Thank you!

1. Proteases are accelerants of proteolysis - they cleave peptide bonds in hydrolysis reactions. 2. The viral RNA contains the code for the protease (along with all the other instructions it needs for self-replication in the host).

Could you show photo's of virusses? I can only find computer drawn or false ones...Also I can't seem to find the evidence for the existence of the virus particle, you know isolated. Only computer codes? I don't understand

We can't use anything like a regular camera to photograph viruses because they are much too small. We use electron microscopes to see them, which use electrons rather than photons. Here are some of the best images I've found: time.com/5839573/coronavirus-images/. Hope that helps!
