Let's talk about some of the darkest characters in the Beyblade Burst series Phi, and to a lesser extent his twin brother Hyde. They Have two of the most iconic roles to play in their season being the antagonists of Beyblade burst Turbo, otherwise know as Beyblade Burst Super Z or the Chozetsu series in Japan. You may think, or have heard that Phi's Phoenix is indestructible, but Phoenix was destined to be destroyed by Aiger for more than plot reasons. Hyde on the other hand seeks to have fun, and gain an audience through his Beyblade skills and showmanship being the mischievous archetype; while his other twin Phi, the focus of this video uses his Beyblade's power to taunt others, he is a negative influence on other's minds, making them obsessing over winning and feeling like destroying other's beys, just like him. His Beyblade, Phoenix- more specifically the avatar trapped inside his Beyblade, possesses great power, and is the symbol for renewal or rebirth in most cultures, and I want to start by answering a question we've all been thinking; and that's what are the Beyblade Avatars? And are they the same in different series?

I believe the only weakness of Phoenix in the anime without the mythology is light. When Aiger fought Dread Phoenix it was vulnerable when Achilles was shining like light and he got the Ring Out. And the only way he burst Phoenix was with a sword of light. And this makes a lot of sense with the fact that Phoenix is a bey of darkness. So that’s why I believe the only weakness of Phoenix to be light.

To be honest I think that phi is still stronger than aiger . He got more victory than him and he would’ve won against aiger if he didn’t toy with him Too much in the final . Like in the first too rounds of episode 50, he could’ve won the battle but he did a ring out on purpose to tourment aiger . Aiger only won because he was the main character in the other season he isn’t as strong . And if valt battle phi I 100% confident he would’ve lost. Like in episode 28, aiger defeat Valt and phi beat aiger in ep 37 when using his full power ect…

I know this seems off-topic, but I kind of wanted to share this thing as it kept on annoying me. In the battle between Phi and Aiger, I didn't really like how Aiger kept on using "turbo shield/defence" a lot. In a sense, you could say that he was "lucky" and that pheonix couldn't hit through the shield, but in my opinion it kind of tells more about him. I feel like using the shield, as a defensive strategy, which is what he played during the round, it shows how Aiger was kind of "hiding behind the shield" if you know what I mean. As Phi being my favorite character, I may be getting too biased, but I strongly feel like Phi would have won, and I don't appreciate the common theme of "light always wins against darkness", which is nessecarily true...

@@sushants.3023 I agree and I think I’m one of the only people that thinks that even though Aiger beat Phi, Phi is still stronger. I would even say he’s the strongest in Turbo. It was plot that gave Aiger the win. But Aiger did grow. Also we’re talking about the same dude that made his bey out of a meteorite. Phi is one of my favorite villains in anime and my third favorite Beyblade character.

@@jonasn1611 Do you mind telling me the 1st and 2nd? I agree with you a 100% about Aiger growing, and the plot playing a big role int he judgment. Personally, I am a fan of Payne, as his personality seems pretty interesting, but Phi was on a whole other level. I kind of wish they added/would add him in future beyblade seasons/series.

i might be wrong but the reason phi got Phoenix is because a Phoenix represents rebirth like if a Phoenix dies it comes back to life and they always represent rebirth which could explain it that phi likes breaking so much because it gives others a chance to be stronger

If you go back to the part where phi first saw phoenix you would notice that the butler only called it phoenix not revive phoenix so phi could of got his bey broken by someone and revived it or the meteor changed it somehow.

The revived phoenix has metal. We can assume Phi getting phoenix form a young age was when it was all plastic. As in the English dub the Turbo generation is what it’s called symbolizing the change to beys with lots of Metal. Also Phoenixes rises from the Ashes and are revived so to speak.

Actually resonance is the spiritual connection between blader and bey. Avatars are the manifestation of that resonance. The greater the resonance, the more self aware the avatar will become. In the Metal Saga there are no Avatars, but instead there are BeySpirits, which is something different. BeySpirits are connected to the Beys, as in the Metal MultiUniverse all Beys are created from meteorites, so BeySpirits are cosmic energies as they basically all represent constellations or bodies in space. In the First Generation of Beyblade, BitBeasts (known as Sacred Beasts in Japan) are ancient entities that were even honored as gods by ancient civilizations. They have great power and since ancient times the Sacred Beasts have aided great warriors in legendary battles. Sacred Beasts choose to reside inside a BitChip as they have free will, yet they can be locked away by certain types of magic and technology and in rare cases be controlled against their will. The First Generation of Beyblade was very much inspired by Pokemon, which is also the reason why Tyson Granger (Takao Kinomiya in Japan) looks so much like Red from the original Pokemon Red and Green Games (called Red and Blue in the US). There was also an interesting ruling prior to the first anime season, where if you knocked off an opponents bitchip, you would get to win it. This rule would later become inofficial as it damaged a lot of beys quite often. The old takara tomy bitchips also had codes on them, which could be used in some of the old Beyblade video games. Fun Fact: The first Pegasus Bey was not Flame Pegasus from G-Revolution. Almost nobody knows this, but a Bey the first Pegasus Bey was named Pegacion. It is owned by Kaoru Amo in "Explosive Spin Shoot Beyblade - Fierce Battle! Strongest Blader" for the Gameboy Advance and it released only in Japan in 2001 during the airing of the first anime season of Explosive Spin Shoot Beyblade.

I know that I'm around 3 months late to the party, and that you probably mention it, but Phi didn't necessarily corrupt Achilles. It only started *after* Phi broke Leopard, so it was Aiga/Aiger's *fear* of Phi that started the corruption, and it ultimately became a positive feedback loop. When Hearts/Hyde defeated and took the title of champion from Aiga/Aiger, Aiger felt the need to get stronger, and continued to do what he'd been doing. And since Hyde was doing something similar, if not the same, Aiger thought it was the right way to get stronger. I say "something similar, if not the same" because of how they *wanted* the 'pain' that occurred when their beys clashed with other beys, saying that it was a sign that they were connected to their beys, feeling the pain that their beys felt. After Phi broke Z Achilles, Aiger says the reason why he couldn't hear Achilles was because he wasn't truly listening to Achilles, instead focusing on how he wanted to get stronger so that Phi couldn't break Achilles.

Sharing a Theory, Metal saga is in the 1st timeline which make sense because of how Beyblades made was stated there, then turning into plastic gen to nerf the beys because they see how destructive beys can be. Then turning them into burst which is also lightweight (I'm talking about the 1stgen of burst the single layers) upgrading and evolving again because the current people discovered how can they upgrade it or evolve it as we can see on Burst Evolution and Turbo.

If you actually look at the battle of Phi and Hyde, you will notice that Phi's avatar is a red phoenix instead of the darker one we usually see, and Hyde's bey has a purple/darker avatar. I think that Phi got the dark energy from beating Hyde's bey and probably taking that power. This theory doesn't sound the best but thats what I think. Anyways really great video!

What i think is that phi was destined to have hades as a bey. Sure thing phi and hyde got along with their beys, but that doesn't mean that none of them want change. See like if beyblade was a phycopathic 18+ killing show, phi would kill hyde for hades. What im trying to say is even though phi didn't get what he wanted he didn't forget it. It didn't matter for phi wether he had pheonix or hades, he still showed us his dark power through some battles. But im sure if phi had hades as a bey he would have destroyed the whole universe. So he is a natural born killer. But that's just a theory!! Just my opinion! And thanks to Sushant S. for this comment ant thanks to beyblade dad for this awseome video!!!!!

It was interesting to see him throw Prominence Phoenix in the volcano. I truly don't get the scene tbh 😅 as it's the same Phoenix he's battling with, not some sort of evolution.. was the Phoenix in the volcano already, or did he trigger it 🤷🤔

Epic theory! I have a theory that there is nothing wrong with using dark power as long as it doesnt take you over it can be wielded to a very powerful extent, cayse we see that aiger and hyde felt their beys pain, but phi never does, implying he has control over the dark power, and in Beyblade burst rise, arthur and blindt wielded dark flux without getting corrupted, aiger probably still has the dark power in him, and if he can use it too his advantage, he could become even stronger.

The way I thought of it, avatars were characters in bladers' imagination, representing the Beyblade. If the Beyblade breaks and the blader gets a new one, it would usually still be the same avatar! But the ideas the avatars had, were actually the bladers' ideas. So everyone, even in real life, can have an avatar! However everyone must understand that Beyblades are not living things even if they may slightly behave like living things in battle. So do not think avatars, in real life, are real. If in real life, avatars come from you. Beyblade Dad, I love your video and your idea. And I just want to share my opinion and idea after you! Also, I feel like the aura, that appear when bladers call their Beyblade/avatar, is the air current generated by the Beyblade. You can feel it as your Beyblade spins.

I've expanded on resonance in real life too, and how we can achieve something more tangible from our training. I agree, that in real life avatars come from us; in the anime though the force they exert is incredibly more powerful, and would be quite a spectacular sight! This theory seems pretty interesting, actually! Although, now that we know Phi’s taunting and all that causes a negative influence on other Bladers, I figured that since Phi’s intent was to destroy other Bladers Beys, it explains how Phi originally wanted Hearts/Hyde’s Hades, he didn’t get it, which visibly angered him, it implies that he didn’t just vow to take it from Hyde, but to keep in any way he could. This therefore causes him to go on a Bey-breaking spree, which also influences Aiger to do the same due to the fact they were similar in a way: They both had vows. And they wanted to get their way no matter what it takes. Phi’s negative influence passes on to Aiger, making him stronger and more power-bent. Aiger’s Bey never wanted that. And once Achilles was broken, Aiger’s dark resonance has went away, which also means Phi’s power had been slightly decreased, while Aiger’s true potential grew stronger, which does explain Achilles’ shine during the battle against Dread Phoenix.

It's an awesome video! anyway,phi is the best anime character of all times and I see him much more amazing than lane was or ryuga ..and it's right,ranjiro defeated phi but because phi have intention to break kyle's phone than to win in that match...I hope I can see him back again!

I really really like the idea that the avatars across the entire Beyblade franchise are all the same beings. I don't really follow the burst anime so a lot of this was very confusing, but that's just something I'm going to be thinking about for a while now.

i have a question. why did phi loose against aiger? like what did hyde meant with “dread phoenix contains part of my hades”. so the reason is because phoenix has hades in it. but why did he loose because of that?

Aiger had a stronger bond with Achilles. Phi was concerned about power and getting stronger instead of growing with his bey. Even Hyde resonanted with Hades before Phi, so as strong as he was he still never resonated with Phoenix

@@BeybladeDadyour wrong . Phi was always talking to Phoenix . Even with revive Phoenix in battle ship cruise . Hyde wasn’t good to Hyde . He was always screaming and dominating his bey like phi was saying during their battle . Phi was talking to Phoenix everytime . Just like Valt and aiger .
