Poland invading the Czech Republic is probably one of the worst mistakes since someone making a KZfaq channel where the only theme is "kinda interesting stuff." I mean, that makes it pretty impossible to decide on topics. What kind of idiot would think that was a good idea? Unrelated, but Half as Interesting solicits viewer suggestions for our topics. We reward any topic suggestion that we use with a measly t-shirt. It costs us a few bucks to make, we sell it for $20, it's really a terrible deal, but people fall for it anyways. Submit your topic suggestions here: docs.google.com/forms/d/e/1FAIpQLSfUdlvw6YgU44J8AnM2U_ZvRMyvh_CUM51LYSqF5nYJB9d1-w/viewform?usp=sf_link

Yes, we just wanted to look at your beatiful borders. "But why did you make a secret contract thing with Russia?" Just a "coincidence". "Sure? They are "coincidentally" waiting/admiring at the east side of Poland?" Oh, I didn't knew that. *cough* good *cough* (If a Polish guy/girl reads this, have a nice day! And let's all together hate the things that they did. Please have a wonderful day. :D xd Oh and let's make fun of Germany because they've managed to build a airport for over 10 years, we are truly stupid. The oldest mention of this village is from 1317. Before 1742, the whole village belonged to the Silesian Duchy of Krnov. In 1742, as part of the Wars of the Austrian Succession, the Habsburg dynasty lost most of Silesia. Since 1742, the village was divided into two parts: the Silesian belonged to Prussia and the Moravian to Austria. However, the border here was very complicated, there were several small enclaves and exclaves. After World War II, the original German population was displaced from both sides of the border. And the border was also simplified so that it ran along the axis of the stream. First, since 1946 the village was settled by new residents from Slovakia and Volhynian Czechs. Subsequently, in 1948, the communist leadership decided to establish a 300m border zone, and the village on the Czechoslovak side was displaced and demolished in 1949-1950. Only the church, the chapel and the two houses (now with numbers 113 a 114) remained. In August 1951, the municipality was formally abolished and joined to the municipality of Slezské Rudoltice. In the late 1950s, some small corrections of the state border were made.

It's a really nice change and sign of civilizational improvement over the times when one border patrol mistakenly taking a wrong turn in bad weather could spark an armed border skirmish. But as I German I can that is is one of the most stupid ways of wasting humans, seriously all these people could have live with a family and enjoy their live. Also: How can these 2 nations say: ok I'm sorry. And stop fighting, why does Isreal uselessly have to fight with the other guy? Learn the history of the region. Poland had dispute about small territory with natural resources . Its begin few years earlier when Czehs armedly took part of the Polish territory when entire Polish army fought with the Bolsheviks. These areas were inhabited mainly by Poles. It was not an accident Poland took territories inhabited by Poles or the Germans would take all of them. Poles tried diplomatic efforts with both Germany and the Czech Republic and they don't have much in common with Hitler's imperial plans because it wasnt in Poland's interests too strong imperial germany.

It was a mistake.Poland and Czech are both in Schengen zone for many years.Border marks are hard to find on the ground. The border line is complicated, and you can cross the border dozens of times over a distance of several hundred meters without knowing it.Normally, in such a situation, a border guard is in command of a military patrol. This time only military personnel were on patrol. They crossed the border by 40 meters. Everyone knew it was a mistake. In Europe, the border can even be in the middle of the street. You go to work on the Polish side of the road and you come back home after work on the Czech side of the road.Typically and normal situation.

All in all it's kind of a wholesome story, and a reflection on how far Europe (and the world) has come in terms of peaceful relations between countries. This was an honest mistake and the Czechs were understanding about the situation, but in the not-too-distant past a similar mishap between similar countries could have easily been the catalyst for a large-scale war.

Yep Jakester you know nothing about Europe or Poland history... did you not hear anything about Polish Winged Hussars? "am i joke to you?" We even conquered and owned Russia once in 1612. try to beat that! our history is far longer and far greater then you think... For example read this: en.m.wikipedia.org/wiki/Battle_of_Klushino our history begins from 966 there is a lot of things that you don't know but in old times we used to be almost invincible

@@CommentCritic ohh teraz rozumiem... Mentalność Polaka-Cebulaka. Sorry to zmienia postać rzeczy.

Okay here is the only 2 State solution: Pick the oldest living person in palestine and israel and look up how each side saw the borders at the time of their birth. Thats the base line. Now, in case some parts ar claimed by both sides, split it up in square kilometers and flip a coin for each square. Problem solved!
