Nyesha is one of the best hosts on this channel. She's an actual chef, super knowledgeable, super respectful, and genuinely curious about the dishes she encounters.

She's an amazing chef. I first heard of her on a season of the show Top Chef and I don't believe she won that season but went very far but I always enjoyed her enthusiasm and her love for the art of cooking. She's been in many cooking shows since her first appearance on that season of Top Chef. I believe she has her flagship restaurant in NY.

Yeah, her being an actual chef really adds to her interactions and reactions with her interviews. It feels less forced (or just awkward, I guess) compared to some of the other hosts.

I went my first 60 years on this earth, never trying kimchi. What a love affair it is today, I even make my own now in my 61st year. Hot dogs, tacos & burritos, egg dishes, mashed potatoes, it goes well with EVERYTHING! Or just by itself!! My favorite kimchi combo at this time is with rice made with coconut milk and lemon. Absolutely amazing tasting!!!

Love Nyesha. She knows a lot of the answers to the questions she asks, but asks them for the chefs to explain their process, and to make things clearer for the audience. Plus, she's got an amazing energy and infectious laugh.

Love how she immerses herself in every aspect of the process and asks the questions I'm thinking of. Keep'em coming please. Ooooo she needs to do this in Korea. Then she can learn more about her heritage and visit restaurants to show us super authentic cuisine traditions. K Eator make that happen please. 😀

Very nice commentary from chef Nyesha. When they talk about the stuff used by their mothers and grandmother's for the pork, it was very relatable to hear Coca-Cola. The intense sugar in the soda helps break down the pork and get rid of that smelliness that pork sometimes has... At least, that's how I learned it. Sometimes we use sprite, but Coca-Cola also lends it a dark color.

My first job at 12 y.o. was for a Mrs Kim that owned a Korean grocery store in a old residential house in Bethesda, MD. One of my duties was to make giant batches of kimchee in food grade barrels. My mother made a Japanese version of kimchee that wasn't so spicy. It looked like sour kraut with a Asian flare. I love the stuff!

Had traditional Kim chi jiggae, not a fan. Prefer my Kim chi cold with rice. Also have eaten plenty of seaweed wraps, but never fried with rice paste before. I am curious as to how the flavor profile matches with fried seaweed and kim chi jiggae puree.

This dish seems to be overly complicated. What's wrong with charcoai grilled pork belly, a bowl of rice, and sides of kimchi and lettuce? Why try to fix something that's not broken? Traditional is always best.
