I am reminded of a story Justin Thomas related at a press conference last year.....He said that him, Tiger, and Charlie were playing a round of 18 holes and it was just a putting round. He stated that nobody was giving any holes or handicaps, it was a straight up match. On the last hole Charlie was up two on Tiger, and one on Justin. Charlie then says first to Justin and then to Tiger....."Well you're the number one golfer in the world, and you're supposed to be the greatest golfer of all time, and I'm beating both of you." Justin then said he mustered up all he had and he birdied the last hole and Charlie bogied it. Then Justin pridefully said "So I beat him."

If not good at 13, then when? His father started swinging golf clubs when he was about 4 years old. Charlie Woods is at the exact right age to be golfing. The fact that he’s good for his age makes it even better.

We have no idea how naturally skilled he is. He has had the best coaching and access to practice facilities of any 13 year old in the world so barring complete lack of co-ordination you would expect him to be good for his age. Whether he has genuine natural is yet to be determined.

Clearly he is amazing. He has the best coach and possess the natural talent. Will he be successful enough to make the tour. Only time will tell. I hope they don’t push him too hard and forget he’s only a kid. Let him enjoy his youth. He has plenty of time to hone his golf game. There have been so many fathers that have pushed their kids into pro sports only to see them fail. I hope he’s successful and at the same time happy and humble.

There is no nepotism in sports. You have to perform well or you don’t make the cut. Also, nice clickbait in the screenshot. Edit: Ok let me clarify. When I say there’s no nepotism, I mean once you get into a league. Maybe daddy’s name help you get there when other guys should be ahead of you, but as I said no amount of nepotism will help once you’re there. The stats don’t lie.

From what I have seen Charlie is good for his age but not exceptional. See if he can win 65% of his junior tournaments like Scheffler did.
