They will cut the last 2 priority groups from receiving healthcare. How exactly does denying veterans medical care hold the VA accountable? They talk about non-combat vets like they are nothing and don’t deserve medical benefits. Project 2025, cut timeline to file a claim to 10 years and sites that retires file claims at higher rates. If you are a veteran and support P2025, you are at a minimum a fool and also a traitor to your brothers and sisters who served.

It is essential to note that P2025 is not affiliated with either the Republican Party Platform nor the Trump campaign. That said, it is from a conservative think-tank which does have influence within the party. Without doubt, not every idea will receive implementation. In the two primary issues being addressed here, both of them are considered to be "third-rail" in changing benefits for any Veteran but especially for current recipients (it may change for new recipients, but even that is doubtful). So what is driving this? Did you know there are a very significant number of Vets who are receiving over $100K per year in military/disability compensation? There are even a few hundred who are receiving over $200K. I think we can all agree that this is outrageous. I would opine that there will likely be a limit placed on total compensation of government Disability benefits of perhaps $50K or so. First, it is fair that a retiree gets their full retirement benefit and this is not offset by VA disability. VA disability is to compensate for damage, not service. But let us also be fair in agreeing that if your disability is not tied to military service, it should not be compensated through the VA (we have SSDI for that). I think it would be more likely that VA Disability and SSDI are eventually managed to offset each other. So, I would not get "fear mongered" by Project 2025. YMMV.

Project 2025 is primarily a recommendation. It's a comprehensive plan proposed by conservative think tanks and organizations to shape government policy and administration. The plan outlines specific policy priorities and strategies for implementation, aiming to guide the next presidential administration's agenda. While influential, it serves as a set of recommendations rather than binding directives. For the VA part of project 2025, it does not explicitly mention any cuts or reductions to veterans' disability pensions. Please read it. This guy was referring to the means testing that was proposed by the Congressional Budget Office with suggested start date on January of 2024. Specifically, the proposal set an income threshold at $125,000 for 2023, adjusted for inflation, above which disability compensation would be phased out at a rate of one dollar reduction for every two dollars of income over the threshold. Veterans with household incomes above $170,000 would no longer receive any disability compensation if this policy were implemented. Project 2025 does not include a specific recommendation for means-testing VA disability benefits. Again, project 2025 does not explicitly mention any cuts or reductions to veterans' disability pensions.

@@TheBoxster1998 One of the things in Project 2025 is:🔥🔥🔥 CUTTING OUT A LOT of VETERANS DISABILITY and MEDICAL BENEFITS 🔥🔥🔥 Signifies the important parts⬇️ The VA’s Schedule for Rating Disabilities (VASRD) has assigned disability ratings to a growing number of health conditions over time; 🔥🔥🔥some are tenuously related or wholly unrelated to military service.🔥🔥🔥. The further growth in presumptive service-connected medical conditions pursued by Congress and Veteran Service Organizations, begun with Agent Orange and most recently for Burn Pits/Airborne Toxins, has led to historic increases in mandatory VBA spending in recent years. The VA has a time-phased plan to reassess the VASRD and its ratings for compensation, but this internal process can be slow and laborious, requires Office of Management and Budget (OMB) approvals, and can become politically charged both in Congress and with VSOs. The next Administration should explore how VASRD reviews could be accelerated with clearance from OMB to target significant cost savings from🔥🔥🔥REVISING DISABILITY RATING AWARDS for FUTURE claimants🔥🔥🔥 while preserving them fully or 🔥🔥🔥PARTIALLY for EXISTING claimants. 🔥🔥🔥 I copied that from page 649-650 of the p2025 manual.

Making the VA more private isn’t a good fix, it simply sounds great on paper yet increases both operating cost and overall wait times. Active duty side did the whole switch several years ago to DHA and pushed the majority of its green suitors to an operational footing, so now you’re generally waiting approximately 1-2 months to be seen by your PCM. In the mean time your medics and nurses are in the motor pool turning wrenches being told there’s no funding for medical supplies or training. Granted, there are some good ideas in this ‘Project 2025’ for fixing some issues at the VA. However, overall it simply appears that this is simply yet another effort to push an extremely conservative agenda without thought or care that this is a MEDICAL facility where politics simply do not belong. And finally, by going to a private sector approach, it is a clearly an effort to line the pockets of the supporters of this agenda as they will be the ones who truly benefit from that shift.

The Heritage Foundation is just one "Think Tank", and the 2025 plan is their work, not governmental regulation. They do not represent all conservative's thinking; certainly not mine. And there is no way that I would vote to put a figurehead like Biden into 4 more years of chaos in our Administrative branch of our government. Especially since it's a cabal of elites actually running our White House and feeding their decisions to a teleprompter for Biden to read (and he can't even do that without losing his place.)

2025 project blueprint for Veterans Administration written by: Brooks. D Tucker, Chief of Staff for Robert Wilkie trumps VA secretary, from Mandate for Leadership: Both Tucker and Darin Selnick called for dismantling the VA in 2016 with Trumps presidential commission. Now propose: -end enrollment for veterans in the two lowest priority tiers -narrow eligibilty for veterans by excluding disabilities not related to military service -Privitizing Department of Defense Tricare system for military families -require married service members to share housing allowance and document housing expenditures saying members should not receive extra compensation above housing cost -eliminate concurrent eligibility for both service related disability benefits -eliminate military retirement benefits -revise the current disability rating awards that determine eligibility for benefits. For those of you worried about this, try not to. This project 2025 is a foundations proposal. It is not set in stone, and changes can still be made. Donald trump has bashed the foundation and the proposal several times, please do your research. Shame on everyone here for bashing trump and saying he's behind this, it didnt take but 30 minutes of research to conclude trump does not support the project as well as voting for him would nore than likely keep this from moving forward. Everyone here should be able to vote for either side that can help give them the life they are after, going the absolute left or right is a horrible way to vote and think. Lastly for anyone reading this please hear me out, if you vote trump i can almost guarantee you an improved VA in terms of streamlined care, everytime a republican gets in office the VA is held accountable (more so) and workflow is inproved but still not perfect mind you. Also, know that trump is our best way of the choices we have, in order to get a significant pay increase for our compensation yearly moving forward until the end of the term. Thanks guys and gals!

This perspective is somewhat short-sighted. When Project 2025 was drafted, the Chevron Doctrine was still in place, allowing significant leeway for administrative agencies to interpret and enact changes based on ambiguous statutes. However, with the recent overturning of this doctrine, the executive branch and its agencies cannot implement changes as easily as they could several years ago. Most of the initiatives or aspirations in Project 2025 will now require clear congressional authorization or will face judicial scrutiny, making it more likely that changes not codified in actual law will be knocked down. While the Heritage Foundation's previous aspirations, especially around the proposals with the VA, are concerning, the overturning of the Chevron Doctrine means that unelected bureaucrats cannot make on-the-fly changes as they had hoped. Although it's valid to be wary of their goals, their ability to achieve them has been significantly diminished. Furthermore, the notion that a single party can enforce sweeping changes without formal legislative or judicial processes is inaccurate. Despite concerns about the conservative leanings of the current Supreme Court, the justices are bound by their interpretations of the Constitution. Even with a 6-3 conservative majority, justices like Roberts and Barrett have shown a tendency to vote based on legal principles rather than strictly partisan lines, and their records reflect this nuanced approach. So, the likelihood of the Heritage Foundation succeeding in implementing their Project 2025 as originally envisioned is now much lower. The overturning of the Chevron Doctrine has absolutely neutered many of their ambitions, making the current panic over their influence somewhat misplaced. Don't let a left-vs-right mentality cloud your judgment. The future is more stable than it appears, especially given the recent legal changes. While it's important to remain vigilant, the fears surrounding Project 2025 should be tempered with the understanding that any significant policy shifts will now require broader consensus and clear legislative action. This is ultimately a win for democratic processes and accountability.

Trump will also have the authority under project 2025 to fire all civil service employees and replace with Trump loyalists. One of the architects of project 2025 from the Heritage foundation testified before Congress and Ro Kahana asked him this question. He tried to beat around the bush before he came out and admitted Trump could fire all civil service, employees, and install only his loyalists. A vote for Trump is a vote for project 2025. On the news today, Trump was trying to pretend like he didn’t know what it was when he knows exactly what it is. Rest assured there are veterans that will proudly their benefits away and cast their vote for Trump.

I found this section. It tells you what they think about government employees and veterans in general. "Many of these laws and regulations governing a largely underworked, overcompensated, and unaccountable federal civilian workforce are so irrational that they would be comical in a less important context. This is true whether it comes to evaluating employees’ performance or hiring new employees. Only in the federal government could an applicant in the hiring process be sent to the front of the line because of a “history of drug addiction” or “alcoholism,” or due to “morbid obesity,” “irritable bowel syndrome,” or a “psychiatric disorder.” The next Administration should insist that the federal government’s hiring, evaluation, retention, and compensation practices benefit taxpayers, rather than benefiting the lowest rung of the federal workforce."

I think that you provide a great service to vets pursuing their rightful disability benefits, and I hope you continue to do so for a long time to come. BUT.... When it comes to politics and legislation, please, please get some help, advice and guidance before you run such dopey clickbait videos. Project 2025 is the brainchild of the Heritage Foundation, a think-tank. They call themselves more libertarian than conservative, but that's besides the point. I've read the text, and frankly, little - or none of it- will ever be enacted into statutes or regulations. It's a group of ex-office holders who sit around and brainstorm how things would be if they were in charge. As far as trashing individual political parties. matters pertaining to VA have always been, continue to be now, and will always be non-partisan. Look, for example at the sponsorship and voting on the PACT ACT. There wasn't a partisan vote anywhere. Besides Social Security, VA and Veterans benefits ARE truly the third rail of American politics. None of the things that are being scare mongered will happen because they are politically untenable. Listen, my friend. Keep doing the great job you do for vets, but stay out of politics. Let me inform you you don’t know what the hell you’re talking about. This is a blueprint for Trump’s presidency if Americans are dumb enough to elect him for his term in 2025. Notice, I said blueprint not legislation. This does not have to pass through Congress genius it will be implemented through executive orders. Do you understand what executive orders are? This will be implemented no matter how much nonsense you say. It’s the whole point all guard drills are removed and Trump will, his revenge and retribution. He’s an idiot and anyone who follows him is an idiot. There is nothing that will stop Trump since he has presidential immunity and anything he says will be a presidential act. He has the Supreme Court in his pocket and the people from the Heritage foundation are not libertarian like Claim. They are conservative and they hate America the way it is today. Kevin Roberts is the idiot in charge of the Heritage foundation and with him are a lot of former Trump cabinet members so Trump is very well aware of what the Heritage foundation is what project 2025 is and the Supreme Court justices that Trump appointed from a list given to him from the heritage foundation. So stop talking like you know everything, and putting other people down on what they should use for content on their own KZfaq channel.
