Today on the show, we have with us Dr. Ramiyar P. Karanjia. He is an M.A., Ph. D. in Avesta-Pahlavi from St. Xavier’s College, University of Mumbai, and is presently serving as the Principal of Dadar Athornan Institute. Also, he is an independent researcher in history and ancient Iranian languages.

Many of us Iranians are not Muslims, most of us aren't Zoroastrian but we're also not Muslim. We celebrate Persian New year (vernal equinox) and have still kept many of our traditions alive regardless of the countless invasions we've endured. Hopefully the current regime's situation will change and people can come and see what we have to offer. (Also no hate against Muslims, we just have a vast culture that is a lot older than Islam which is still very alive)

@@rahilmalhotra001 Either atheist or many have their own interpretations of how life works based on experience and other things. Some people have their own spiritual practices. Many of these people would probably be mild and open minded shia Muslims but the actions of the regime really changed the population's view on religion. Many people outright consider religion a negative and bash it.

@@rahilmalhotra001 also many people believe in God they just don't believe in it from an Abrahamic perspective. A bit tricky to explain but yeah it's just that many other aspects of daily life are of higher priority than spirituality or religion in most Iranian households and the beliefs kinda run in the background unless you're from specific communities in specific areas which are more religious. The Sunni regions inhabited by mostly Arabs and Kurds also tend to sometimes (not always) but sometimes have more strict cultural and religious values related to Islam. (Again, this doesn't apply to everyone, many of those people are also secular and identify with their culture rather than religion).

There is a battle of ten Kings mentioned in Vedas in which Bharata Tribe under King Sudas was victorious and the defeated ten Kings migrated in different directions.Many of them settled in Iran as well subsequently creating Zorastrianism.Kindly organise a podcast on this issue with some learned persons.

The only refrence to Persian God 'Ahura' is in the Upanishad where the Indians have admitted that 'Ahura Mazda' is the true God, whom they have renamed as 'AUM'. तद्धैक आहुरसदेवेदमग्र That One (तद्व एक) God (देव) was Ahura (आहुरसम्) in the beginning (अग्र) - Chandogya Upanishad Indians say that this AUM is omnipresent even in the sun, moon and holy men. ओ३म्खं ब्रह्म AUM known in the heavens above is Omnipresent according to us (Indians) Indians also say that AUM is just an abbreviation for three letters which are just symbolic and we will never tell what they represent. 😊 तिस्रो मात्रार्धमात्रा च त्र्यक्षरस्य A U M But the fact is this is an abbreviation for 'Ahura Mazda' आहुरसदेवेदमग्र 'Ahura' was the God in the beginning - Chandogya Upanishad This is the only proof from a bulk of Hindu scriptures. That A U M of Hindus is the God of their Parsi brothers - Ahura Maza.

Need to ask the guest whether english word prophet and the transliteration of it in avesta mean exactly same or different. Many sanskrit words do not have exact transliteration in the english. For example- word dharma is not equivalent to english word religion, the soul does not mean Brahman but only mean atma, etc

It seems so good when he says our religion is same as sanatan dharma. The problem does not lies in the similarities, the problem is in the difference. When a discussion comes to differences, that's where things get exposed and you realise there's nothing as pristine as Sanatan Dharma/ Hinduism. For Eg in all the monotheistic religions the fundamentals thinking is our God is the only true God, and if you don't believe in it you are different from us and as you are not one of us you can't marry with our people can't enter our places of worship etc etc all such rigid thoughts creep in and Parsi religion is no exception. The bottom line is Hinduism cannot be compared with any other religion because apart from positive things of a religion it does not have any negative things when compared to others

What about the caste system. It's awful how the shudra and pariah castes are treated. What about sati where the wife was burned on the funeral pyre of the husband. What about a widow if she survived the sati custom she is shunned from all happy events. Part of the same religion I say. By the way I'm not being disrespectful I'm pointing out some facts.

There is a day when you will meet Allah, and you will see those who followed falsehood, will be in total loss. Remember idol worshipping is totally wrong and demon has influenced your forefathers to follow falsehood. Remember to research, insha Allah you will DEFINITELY reach truth. Read the powerful, uncorrupted, truthful book AL QURAN. If you find truth then there will be no dilemma to accept the truth, and you will preach the truth. Remember, when you find real truth and real purpose of life, you will cry remembering me. Find truth before death reaches you as it will of no you when death reaches. Zoroastrian is the earliest religion that had the largest influence on the Abrahamic religion which not a lot of people know about. They were the one who freed the Jew from the Babylonian captivity. There seem to strange subtle correlation that I've notice between all religion. Such as their prophet Abraham and Sarah sounded similar to Brahma & Saraswati. Another is some certain sect in Catholic believes Jesus must've traveled to India to study under a Hindu/Buddhist teacher. It was suggested by a psychic that Jesus studying under various foreign mentor all over the world. Him and Buddha were a bit similar in the way both were said to be of divine birth and came to earth to teach other to be compassionate while raising other consciousness at the same time.

U(them/they) have ...not any script at all till date ... Sanskrit doesn't have its own script"... Today it uses dev nagari / prakrit (which is basically pali ...that pali which evolved from indo Aramaic.. Contemporary to Greek n Latin ) If its not for James princep ...who thought Indians to about Pali language ...by deciphering Asoka's inscriptions ...around 1830!? ... Let's be practical ....

I'm never of opinion that only my language (Kannada) is oldest or superior ...I know the truth yes the roots of our script evolved from pali Prakrit ....but definitely not from Sanskrit ... Because ... Kannada has evolved into an independent language before 3rd CE ....this is as per ASI ..official proof ...through The Simha katanjana Kannada inscription ...of Talaguppa site ..near shivamogga ... Further it had its own gold coins too with ಕ symbol on it ...which belonged to kakutsa battari/Verna ?! ... The kadamba king ..and Kannada was the Raj bhasha" So Kannada as a language has its own script .... Prior to 3rd CE ... And it was official state language too then So I'm well aware of my script evolution .... But ... When The so called self claimed scholars ... Argues Kannada born out Sanskrit ...then it becomes lol. While this concept of "Ancient Iran" includes East Asia and Europe that NEVER have had any Iranian influence. So as long as he doesn't give me a disclaimer that this is a myth I'll continue to see it through history's point of view.

I am not a Muslim, BUT when you think how much more contrived Zoroastrianism is compared to Islam it is no wonder Islam managed to push out Zoroastrianism. Regardless of either of these religion’s truthfulness , Islam was probably easier to many people. Islam is more abstract and the followers can fill up the details in their mind. With Zoroastrianism it’s full of details which absolutely have to be known, no one can remember, thus making it an elitist religion which broke the society into a less equal arrangement between rich and poor.

As a Shia Muslim we belive that he Zartushra was a Prophet according to hadith by Ahlulbayt. He was indeed murdered and as time passed by, his message changed and got polluted. This happened again and again. Today Islam is the true version of monotheism.

Chill dude. In Vedic astrology religion exist for a reason that human can't understand. Religion is tied to Brihaspati/Jupiter the teacher of the devas, and is meant to be spread worldwide due to it expansive nature whether you like it or not. Majority of the religion took birth in Asia and spread worldwide. So be proud that Asia is mother of all religion and blessed by Jupiter for we have taken over the whole world.

They realised that this world is not truth. It is death with which life begins. This world is a mean to another world that exists for eternity. Our deeds would decide what lies in our fate. It is only the supreme lord who is alive ,was alive and will remain so for eternity.
