I had my first real setback after about 12 days of feeling free from anxiety. It was the most intense sensations i've ever faced. Stronger than my first panic attack years ago. I'm so happy that I was able to use my accepting and allowing techniques to get through it. Its been 3 days since the set back and I feel my self recovering again! For anyone wondering about setbacks they are very very very very very uncomfortable but use the techniques you have learned and most importantly don't despair! Don't give in! No matter how uncomfortable it gets you must overcome!

Thank you! I was dealing with VERY strong anxiety! Got cleared by my doctor, I was (am) healthy, just anxiety. So I started moving on. Got back to work, went to family events, started working out again. BAM!!!! 2 weeks ago I felt back to square 1 and didn't know why. Picking myself up again and feeling better. My wife is a HUGE help! She doesn't really understand because she can't make sense of it but she is always there and loving!

Thank you Shaan!! Im almost there!!! I have put my weight back on no more intrusive thoughts, no longer depressed, I'm sleeping again and I'm going places. Im still dealing with the racing heart, occasional dizzy spells and light headed and derealization. The one that gets me the most is being dizzy. I hate that feeling so bad. Really hard to remain calm and accept it. But I'm trying. We can become free of this vicious cycle just takes hard work and dedication.

This is the perfect explanation. I felt normal earlier for the first time in a long time and it freaked me out and then I had a panic attack. 🤦‍♀️ I accepted it and moved on and calmed down quickly. Good to know I’m in the recovery process.

I remember I would always go to the er All the time I would always hear nurses talking saying she’s been here many times already it was so embarrassing but honestly anxiety makes you feel terrible like there is something wrong with you , but thankfully I haven’t been back there and I told my self Michelle you’re doctor , er doctors told you it’s anxiety and you’re fine. And Before when I started with anxiety I was always crying scared and go to my therapist msg her all the time call her blow up her phone but thankfully I don’t do that anymore Sometimes I feel okay with symptoms other days I could feel good and then boom Horrible . Yesterday I felt great symtoms but still felt good and today I feel bad but still getting through my day . I just hope I recover from this

This video has been so helpful for me. Just pre turning 30, I had a health scare which was linked to an illness that sadly my feather passed away from. Having previous not suffered from Anxiety or intrusive thoughts, the symptoms and emotions were honestly alien to me and I started panicking about not getting back to the me 6 weeks ago (this is still raw). Understanding the steps is truly making me see clearly the rollercoaster of emotions I have gone through - THANK YOU. This sort of content gives me hope I'll feel fine in the not so distant future!

I have endured the state of alertness from the flight and flight for 6 years. Your body and brain has been primed and the SNS ( sympathetic nervous system ) remain on 24/7 eventually causing total burnout. Do everything you can to relax and engage the PNS ( Parasympathetic nervous system ) and you will recover slowly over time as Shaan says.

@@Alafasy3 at 75% health. I still get Zapping noises in my head which means body is still recovering but my overall general health has gone up 10 times to what it was. Stress is a very bad thing.

Omg u were talking and all i was saying is omg because the stages that u mentioned are exactly similiat to mine like they are in the same steps now m I got a setback yesterday where is stood up and my heart rate went up and my night of sleep was kind of not good

My name is denise carol.. im having a major setback started 4 days ago.. anxiety is at a high level and o went for a 10 minute was with my son i felt a glimpse of silence while i was walking i felt calm and weird it was strange like i was normal for those afew moments within that 10 minute walk... is it me going through recovery? Bovikato Achumi youre looking at it the wrong way you don’t have to cope with it Let it consume you. The part of your brain that determines whether you’re in danger or not which produces your flight or gift response ( amygdala) always scans for something it believes will cause you harm. Once you realise that your anxiety is literally just trying to keep you safe and the feelings you get are just adrenaline it changes your outlook. When the amygdala sends out a signal and you respond in any way that is deemed to make you scared like leaving a situation for example) that tells your amygdala “ oh awesome, see he was in danger and we helped him escape”. What this does is trains your brain to keep doing the same thing Over and over again because of how you have responded. To combat this you literally don’t do anything the next time you panic . Don’t react don’t run literally slow everything down don’t walk fast or try to escape. By not moving and reacting you are telling your amygdala “that it is just overreacting and you are perfectly fine” if you keep doing this exercise of not reacting to your anxiety then overtime the amygdala will quiet itself and bring itself down to an acceptable level to the point where you don’t notice it anymore

7 years before I had this and it just disappeared within a month.. but now I'm having this for months and recovering with meds.. Is meds fine? I'm also into yoga and meditation. Anybody reply..
