Richard Jakpa was also in charge of John Mahama's personal security and was given an official bungalow at Cantonments. He was also the Chairman and CEO of Las Adventuras Co. Ltd., which was paid to undertake the Akora Storm Drain project @ Swedru in the Central Region. The project was never completed.

Section 53 and 54 of the Evidence Act allows bad character evidence to rebut or undermine the credibility of a party in a trial. It is in that sense that this evidence is relevant and admissible. Please people should read oooo, download the evidence Act and check for yourself ooo.

Pure ignorance. Read, read and educate yourself. These things are allowed in law to discredit a witness or an accused. To prove that the witness or accused is not reliable and cannot be trusted to speak the truth.

How is that irrelevant? The guy has put his good character in evidence and the prosecution wants to rebut same using his bad character as evidence. Read section 54 of the evidence Act. Please that is the relevant aspect of it and why the court adopted that evidence...if you don't know...keep quiet
