I'm sure the gameplay will be great and fun but one thing I wish for is a story mode that gives us a deeper look into the lore of these amazing characters

My biggest concern is that due to the 3d art style, it may be harder for people to mod the game, i hope it dosent hurt it, because honestly, i only care about rivals for the sick characters

That does make a lot of sense!!! I used to be very deep in gamedev (got some videos on it) so if it eases your worry, making 3D models in my opinion is about the same difficulty as making 2D art but the process is different. But only time will tell, I’m very curious about the mods myself!

I hope RoE2 gives Nintendo the motivation to actually give more support to the competitive smash scene

Yeah imagine if it does as well as the pokemon with gun thing, I bet nintendo has to up their game after other games catch up!

I am very excited for RoE2 but I really prefer the 2d pixel style of RoE1 compared to the 3d style that every other platform fighting game has done. Also the fact there won't be workshop characters at launch really sucks since I haven't played the base rivals characters in forever

Aww I was actually hoping to try the workshop out myself! I'm personally a bigger fan of the 3D but that's because I've always played in 3D, pixel art does have a certain charm you can't recreate in 3D.

Workshop can still happen, it just may be harder for fans to make characters
