Arabs are conqurers and such hypocrites. They care so much about few million pelastinians having their rights, they want yet another Arab country but nono for Kurds the indiginous people to have their own country. Kurds having been slaughtered by Arabs for over 100 years and its ok. The occupied Kurdish land. Baghdad was a kurdish city. Bagdad in Kurdish means land of lords. Bags were lords and my family are Bags and many Kurds! If you search in Arabic there is no meaning for Bagdad and just says online city of peace which should be مدینە السلام(madina alsalam) so why don't they say madina alsalam? Because Bag dad are both Kurdish words again! Also Kerbela the Holly city for shia muslims was a kurdish city and it means Ker+bela= donkey is probpem! You see Kurds are the indiginous people of that land and they used Donkeys to move goods around and one time donkeys got sick so they said Kerbela=donkey is problem. So the place became Kerbela and Arabs moved there from Arabia and took over and made the city Holly place for Shia muslims to come spend their money there. As a kurd I laugh everytime I hear Kerbela 😅😅😅😅😅😅 Now we Kirds don't want to take back all of our land but to keep the little left and live in peace with the rest of the people. There won't be peace as long as there is no Kurdistan! Watch war crimes of British empire against the Kurds. Watch how Turkey is bringing back the ottoman empire. NATOS BIGGEST problem right now Turkey. Turkey has been supplying with ISIS with weapons and gets them out of prisons by attacking the prisons in West Kurdistan. Kurds fought ISIS and are still to this day fighting ISIS.😢😢😢😢 I believe that if all Arab countries were ok with Kurdistan, then the Middle East would become heaven. For those who didn't know Oil existed in Eastern Arabia and people used it throughout history, it is written in history that Baghdad was lit even at night because of it as Caliphs like Harun Al-Rashid ordered scientists and scholars to reaserch the liquid and its usages other Caliphs gave rights to families and tribes to oil fields to extract and protect them. And thank you Hikma for the advises in the end you seem to praise what is happening in term of modernisation of Saudi Arabia and try to diverse their economy, thank you for being fair.

Brother, I recognize the amount of time and effort that goes into producing these high quality documentaries. My question to you is. When there are behind the scene points that are not mentioned such as the West's intervention and how Saddam was backed by the U.S. and Saudi to support the war against Iran and then some how the West encouraged Saddam's marching on Kuwait. Do you think it was to strong arm Saudi to allow the controversial establishment of the base in Saudi or do you think the Saudis were in on that part too, knowing all along that there was no real threat of Iraq marching on Saudi but such a move would not only line the pockets of the defense contractors and offer support to the struggling U.S economy. You see habibi.. If such important layers of the onion are not being peeled, then how can you put the full stop at the end of the documentary?
@HikmaHistory

I appreciate your curiosity. Firstly I did mention Saudi-American-Kuwaiti support for Iraq vs Iran. In terms of America encouraging Saddam to march on Kuwait, I will probably be making a video dedicated to the Gulf War where I can go into more detail. But this video was a fairly ambitious project - 100 years (more like 300 if you count the 1st & 2nd Saudi States' context) in 20 minute video is incredibly difficult so I can't expound upon every detail. I hope you understand.

@@kaboom362 The war to liberate Kuwait took place after Saddam ignored King Fahd's calls to prevent the war. After the liberation of Kuwait, unfortunately, the Iraqi leadership was always threatening Kuwait, and the Kuwaiti government wanted to end Saddam's rule alongside the United States of America. King Abdullah rejected the request of the American envoy to King Abdullah, the politician Hassan Al-Alawi, whose message was to enable the American army to use Saudi lands to occupy Iraq. Saudi Arabia did not have an ambassador in Iraq until the departure of American forces in 2015. The first Saudi ambassador was Thamer Al-Sabhan, and the departure of American forces was in 2011. The decision to go to war was American, and the countries that wanted to overthrow Saddam Hussein were Kuwait and Iran because they were their enemies, and Turkey also did not want Saddam because he was a strong president and prevented the Turks from building dams and preventing the flow of the Euphrates River to the Iraqis, as is happening now.

@@user-kj8yl6sn2z Well.... One major thing to consider is that Saddam was being funded and supported by The West. They used him to destabilize Iran. There is way more to his existence than what most people think. There was also the fake reports of babies being pulled out of their incubators. It turned out that the girl was the daughter of a Kuwaiti politician. These threats may have been propped up to force Saudi open its doors for the long desired American Base. Saddam was their personal friend. I still haven't quite figured why they ended up lynching him. I'm not convinced it had too much to do with protecting their friends in the Saudi Kingdom. As a matter of fact, I doubt it does.

Yeah, natural resources tend to be a curse. It allows for the government to raise revenues detached from the civilian population. The rising tide approach is favored by most nations as it ensures collective prosperity. As the wealth of citizens rises, so does the GDP and in turn tax revenue. However, in countries endowed with abundant natural resources, the importance of citizens' wealth diminishes as it is not the primary source of revenue.

This is my least favourite of the videos. Maybe it's my own bias because of my strong criticism of Saudi Arabia's leaders (not their people) and their extreme Wahabbi ideology they've spread and how much trouble/fitna and decimation across the Islamic world. With the exception of the criticisms of MBS, this feels like too much of a puff piece video. The video fails to show how modern Saudi Arabia was formed in the aftermath of WW1 where the British supported and funded them in defeating the Ottoman Empire. They went onto further strengthen the House of Saud and Ibn Saud in the 1920s and 30s. Hikama History, you've failed to mention this which means you haven't done your research, or more likely, deliberately omitted this due to your own bias. That's a real shame. Obvious flaw here. You also fail to mention how Saudi often treats Asian and African immigrants, many of whom are Muslim, abysmally and in a most racist manner (heard horror stories from relatives and family friends on their time there or when going 9m Umrah or Hajj to Mecca or Madinah via Riyadh or Jeddah). Not criticising all Saudis (I actually had to do some roll play training with Saudi Telecom staff a few years ago and loved theme staff, so humble) but you've conveniently left out details in their history which would show a bad side to Saudi which you don't do when covering Iraq, Syria and Lebanon. I doubt Saddam would've invaded Saudi Arabia.

Sheikh albani on sheikh Muhammad ibn Abdul wahab الألباني: محمد بن عبدالوهاب فيه غلو وشده Albani considered Muhammad Ibn Abdul-Wahab a reformer and praised his Da’wah, but he also criticized him for their excessive Takfir. Albani says about Muhammad Ibn Abdul-Wahab: - He had exaggeration and harshness - His followers inherited that from his teachings - He could not differentiate between authentic [صحيح] and weak [ضعيف] Ahadith - He had no high level of care in following Salafi Fiqh - I am one of the harshest critics of the Wahabiyah 1- Albani said (“Silsilah huda wa Noor”, 297): الحقيقة محمد بن عبدالوهاب فضله كبير على الأمة الإسلامية ؛ لكن فيه شيء من الغلو والشدة الجماعة كان عندهم شيء من الشدة؛ أخذوها طبعاً من بعض نصوص محمد بن عبدالوهاب رحمه الله، واستمر الأتباع إلى هذا العهد موصومون بهذه الشدة، وكنا نسمع نحن قديماً أن هؤلاء النجديين يكفرون عامة المسلمين، أو يقولون عنهم خوارج “The truth regarding Muhammad Ibn Abdul-Wahhab is that he has done a great favour upon the Islamic nation, but he had some level of exaggeration and harshness. … This group has inherited some of this harshness, which they of course took from the writings of Mohammad Ibn Abdul-Wahab, may God be merciful to him. They are stigmatised with this harshness. And we used to hear from long time ago that these Najdis make Takfir on the general masses of the Muslims, and they used to be accused of being Khawarij.” 2- Albani said after he mentioned some good qualities of Ibn Taymiyah: , وكذلك في الأحاديث فهو كغيره مع الأسف الشديد, لا معرفة عنده بالحديث الصحيح والضعيف “Contrary to Sheikh Muhammad Ibn Abdul Wahhab - who did not have this level of care in hadith nor in Salafi fiqh. He is a Hanbali from the side of the madhhab and in Hadith, he is like others. He has left no traces in Fiqh which would indicate to us that he was like Ibn Taymiyah a Salafi in manhaj in terms of his understanding of religion. Perhaps he has an excuse in this which we have already hinted at. And also in the hadith, he, like the others, unfortunately, has no knowledge of authentic or weak hadiths.” 3- Albani also said (“Silsilah huda wa Noor”, 713): أما الوهابية: فما لي ولها ؛ فأنا أنقضها ؛ ربما أشد من غيري ، وربما الحاضرون يعلمون ذلك “As for al-Wahabiyah - what have I got to do with it?! I criticise it - sometimes even more than others! Those who are present know this.”

So black gold (oil) can be as much of a curse as a gift. I think most people would choose black gold even if it is a curse. This video claims there are number of countries with natural resources but are among the poorest countries in the world. Really? Like Brunei? The Sultan of Brunei is one of the wealthiest man in the world. Does not Brunei have the natural resource of black gold or black crude oil? What about Qatar, Kuwait, Abu Dhabi, Dubai, ... where would they be without black crude oil? This video also claim that Saudi Arabia is a regional powerhouse and it has nothing to do with oil. Is that true or is it another lie? Did you see what Saudi Arabia was like before 1933? Before oil? You have got to be kidding or you are a liar. Let me ask. Can Saudi Arabia become a regional powerhouse without black gold, black crude oil? The answer is an obvious "no." Saudi Arabia would be like Yemen, Pakistan, Bangladesh, ... without black crude oil. Only an idiot or a liar would claim Saudi Arabia would be a regional powerhouse without black crude oil. You can believe in your own lie but anyone with a brain would know you are lying. The last great suggestion was to not change too fast. So why has Western Europe and its colonial descendants surpassed other countries in the world. Western European, the US, and Canada has shed its dependence on ancient beliefs and governance by an all powerful autocracy. Guess what? That is exactly what the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia is still suffering from. The people of Western Europe have changed. The people meaning people of all socioeconomic class. For a society to change most of the people have to change. The warning of not changing too fast is the fundamental problem of third world countries like Pakistan, India, Saudia Arabia, Communist China, ... They send a handful of intellectuals to England, France, or the US to learn some technical skill, these technical skills are brought back to their backward country, but most people still think in traditional ways. The foreign educated few cannot change the traditional masses. If the foreign educated few try to change their society the traditionalists would explode into violence. The majority of third world people do not have access to a decent, objective education. If they did have a decent, objective education they would overthrow their leaders with absolute power and really change their society. The Americans had to overthrow King George III. The French had to overthrow King Louis XVI. You have to change now or you will never change. Saudi Arabia has a King. Western European countries have true Republics. Change must happen now or it will never come.

As long as the people are happy, healthy and prospering, these nations are well off more than your societies where existential crises, moral subjectivity and degeneracy, and materialistic tendencies are rampant. Stop lecturing other countries about your problems and challenges with your former governments, believing them to be universal and that only your solutions apply to the rest of the world. Everyone has their own issues and method to solve them. Get rid of your orientalist ego and understand that the eastern world has their own process and way of approaching things.

scholars have decided that this money that is inside the Kaaba and at the grave of the Messenger, peace and blessings be upon him, will not benefit the Messenger, peace be upon him, nor the Kaaba, and must be spent in the interests of Muslims. Why do these people send money to the Kaaba and the Prophet’s grave instead of giving it to the poor and needy?
