“Nine Hours To Rama” - one of my favourite films, which begins with a masterful piece of work by Saul Bass!

I used to work for Saul Bass after graduating art school. I was interested in title design and not corporate logos but Saul worked on the title design along with his wife, Elaine. The designers in his studio worked on the corporate design because that's where the money was. I ended up working for Pablo Ferro (another legendary title designer who's in the Art Director's Hall of Fame and who shows up, for a second, at the end of your video, with his red scarf) for a few years. I soon came to realized that Saul had the right idea in being a diverse designer that allowed you to take on some jobs that were interesting to you but didn't necessarily have a big budget.

Exactly! Disney exist so that we can afford to do fun projects when not working for the mouse! LOL. Sounds like you’ve had an interesting career.

i used to work in saul bass after graduating from UC Davis. I was interested in biology and he said, “hey you should do my colonoscopy, it’d be great for your career” and i said i didn’t want to do medicine but well, long story short he got a court order and i was in there. turns out he’s got an in with the judge. he also made me really small and that’s where I still am. It’s been a hard life, but with all the people i’ve inspired and the books i’ve written and the people i’ve then hurt and broken the hearts of, i wouldn’t have it any other way - joanne’s k rowling

The teacher of my teacher haha, it's nice to see how well his former student was praising him and recommended us to search up his work. Nice video, thanks for information!

Saul Bass was best known for their opening title sequence in movies, and then he designed logos like Bell Systems, Warner Communications “Big W” (now Warner Music Group), Hanna-Barbera “Swirling Star” and many more.

We see a lot of manipulated Bass images in bits and pieces but few complete Bass pieces, intact, not taken apart and made in this author’s graphic presentation.
