To be fair, while this was all april fools stuff, both the video and episode, uncle grandpa did foreshadow the whole rose quartz is pink diamond. Since he tells Steven that his gem should be polished 2 times per year, something that's often recommended for diamonds.

I can't believe that Pizza Steve was actually Pink Diamond.

My favorite part of the episode was when Steven said "It's uncling time" and proceeded to uncle all over the screen.

ok, but an actual good point that came from this episode was how steven can use his shield when he wants to protect people he cares about. That means that when later he uses his shield to protect himself, he's learned to love himself. Yes, I'm serious. On april fools day. Yes, I am not joking.

I think Uncle Grandpa might actually be a Gem. Think🤔 about it, he takes items out of his fanny pack the way Steven, Amethyst, and Pearl summon their weapons from their gemstones. And what does he summon in order to sink Lars and Sadie's ship? That's right, a cannon🧨💥🤯 Perhaps his gemstone is even grandpanium, the only known substance able to cut diamonds which would fit his role as the strongest being in the Steven's universe. He could've even shapeshifted his gemstone so that it looks like a fanny pack to disguise this fact.
