Some of us are just born sikhs and just read the scriputures like a parrot, without really listening to the message and practicing the treasure given to us. We need to be honest enough to experiment for ourself and make Gurbani a part of us and I KNOW the truth is/will be revealed to us during our journey in this precious life. Imagine how sweet will be the Gurbani once we start experiencing it!! Yes Simran absolutely gives the mind a single focus of presence of being one with God...to whatever degree a person is willing to committ.....make sure it is from Love from heart (not mechanical)...try it for a yourself..
