In today's video we look at how Ole Gunnar Solskjaer could set his Manchester United side up after the Premier League return.
Man United could see Marcus Rashford, Bruno Fernandes and Paul Pogba take the pitch together for the first at the club. Man Utd fans are very much excited about the idea of having such a productive attacking line, but let’s take a look at how Solskjaer can get the best out of them.
In terms of United’s shape, Solskjær has utilised a variety of shapes and systems but has favoured the 4-2-3-1 week to week and for the bigger games, the 3-4-1-2 so it’s logical to assume that the same shapes will be utilised.
Solskjær has to try and get Paul Pogba and Bruno Fernandes to play in the same side.
They’re without doubt two of the best midfielders in the competition and would walk into any side in the country, so the potential of them lining up together is tantalising for Manchester United fans. They can definitely perform together as well. We’ve already done a video looking at this in depth and it’ll be linked in the cards above and in the description below but in short: Pogba’s early performances came in the double pivot whilst Bruno has been exclusively used at number 10.

Manchester United have been unlucky with injuries this season and this meant Marcus Rashford & Anthony Martial have not had a chance to consistently start together alongside the likes of Mason Greenwood & Dan James.
Prior to his injury, Marcus Rashford had been directly involved in 18 Premier League goals this season, exactly 50% of Man Utd’s total league goals. Martial on the other hand, has not only already matched his best goalscoring season to date, but he’s working so much harder for the team too. Pressing the opposition more than twice as much per 90 in the Premier League this season. So the only position really up for grabs is on the right flank. Whilst Mason Greenwood is star in the making and can operate from that position, however for his development, he should be used all across the front line. Dan James is likely to be the mainstay on the right until the end of the season. The former Swansea City man has taken well to top flight football.
