Dave is spot on. Spending a shitload of money on 5 or 6 average players and hoping for a quick fix, is not working. United need to set a long term goal and accept that to get there, they will need patience and to not get distracted by outside noise. Over the next 3 summers, they need to sign 6 high quality young players, 2 per season is not beyond their budget. Quality and potential costs money. I would happily sell Fernandes, Rashford, Greewood etc etc because those funds can be used to invest in the future, and I think long term it is the smart thing to do.

I still feel that signing Hojlund was the worng signing. Positional sense that is. If we have a goalscorer the thing we need to do is to compliment him or to have someone cover for him in his absence. A player like Fellaini is required especially with players like Garnacho, Rashford and Antony all 3 who fancy scoring than assisting. I like Hojlund but we needed something else.
