Your video was so informative and helpful, thank you for all your insight!! I've been in corporate for almost 10 years and I recently had the revelation that I want to get an MBA and in particular, I want to receive it from an HBCU. At first, the idea of going back to school was scary but your video reassured me that I'm on the right path. Thank you so much for this video and for your channel! I'm currently an Economist (w/ my bachelors degree only) working for the federal government and I'm researching possible grad programs, an MBA being one of them, so this was very inspiring! Would love to see vlogs from you "day in the life" type videos where you share your work days and provide insight as to what you do, and provide tips throughout the day, I think that would be super valuable!

I want to do an MBA at Wits Business School in South Africa. I don’t come from an accounting/finance background and find it challenging, even the few modules/courses in my undergraduate degree. So I doubt my ability in that department, almost feels like it’s an impossibility for me. Currently I’m trying to gain the necessary work experience to be considered for their program, thereafter I’ll have to look for funding. I think I have to map up why I need the degree more clearly and what role it it will play in my prospective career. Thank you for your videos, I enjoyed the sit down intimate style video. Please continue, it really helps a lot. I’m glad your journey paid off, all the best for the future.

Ummm, I love this video! You’re straightforward and extremely informative. I’ve been debating on working to get an MBA, but the thing that really holds me back is the cost. I’m in Los Angeles and have been looking into Pepperdine University or USC, mainly to focus on finance or HR or any other field that I think would be the best fit for me. Do you have any tips on studying for the GMAT? I’ve just received my study book and plan on taking it in 2021.

Just visited Stanford last week while visiting a friend and it was amazing. I completely get what you are saying even though it was during summer break and there wasn’t a lot of people. The campus is amazing and I will totally include Stanford in my b school application list for my mba. I just need to go to the Olympics in 2024 or something like that to get in lol

Great video Kudzi! I'm applying for an MBA this year. I work at a non-profit doing real estate consulting. I'm interested in the intersection of policy in business, specifically in how it shapes cities. Stanford has a reputation for focusing on tech and entrepreneurship. While I'm interested in both and want to build data analysis skills wherever I attend, I think Stanford might be a mismatch. Did you have classmates who thrived pursuing policy-oriented fields during your MBA?

I am considering to pursue an MBA at Baylor University or Texas Tech, my dream schools. Even if my industry doesn’t necessarily require it, I’d like to pursue it and if I don’t do it now, I’m going to regret it later in life. So my question to you is, what’s your outlook on the future of education, specifically graduate school, post pandemic? Do you see any changes to admissions process all the way to in person/online classes?

Why don’t you get straight from accounting to tech by taking some skill set tutoring courses. Or do you actually need the network to help you find that job?

Big jumps can be tough like it was for me given that I wanted to do something specific but yes, you could try to make the straight jump.

I am just interested in know why business school to tech not tech program to tech 😁 btw, I also applied for GSB this year, this is the only business program I applied, others are more tech related. And the people in GSB are amazingly friendly. : D

First Congratulations! I have a 3.7 GPA from Harvard. I don't want or need an MBA. I am going to Stanford University GSB for a Certificate in Business. Harvard, Stanford and UPenn are well know for starting companies with new innovative ideas. That is what I am doing at the Graduate School of Management innovation and Entrepreneurship Program at Stanford University. If you are going to be a CFO Chief Financial Officer an MBA is needed. Most people with an MBA are not in jobs that require an MBA.

The sheer amount of edits in this video speaks volumes to me regarding your input regarding one's future. The lack of decent input versus practical input means your opinion means nothing to me... Google is worth more than your opinion... The truth is Google has an agenda just like your opinion with an MBA from Stanford. However, I digress due to not wanting to delve into the nuances of what means what. I will say that your rambling makes me want to seek a more informed opinion... Think about that for a moment before you respond... Sad really, if I am being honest...
