There should have been a moment like that in Episode 9. Really, a scene with all 12 Jedi Council members wrecking Palps and minions (including Luke and Anakin fighting Palpatine at the same time) would've been worth watching. The actual thing was so disappointing...

I think it's because the "I learned it from watching you" line was paying homage to a famous anti-drug PSA where the dad finds drugs in his son's room and asks "Who told you to use drugs?" and the kid responds with "YOU ALRIGHT!? I LEARNED IT FROM WATCHING YOU!" It was famous because you'd think it was a bad influence from school, but the twist here is said bad influence was actually his own father. It was so famous that people made parodies of it even to this day.

I think The last Jedi being so messy because of Disney cause there were actually one of the best Star wars scenes both visually and emotionally. I don't believe Ryan Johnson would allow such pointless plot lines and bad unnecesary jokes if he was in full control. The climax would be masterful if they actually killed Finn at his best and didn't add happy last scenes because "aUdIEncE dOnt likE sAd, It dOn't gEt mOnEY tO Us".

The Force Awakens wasn't great, but it at least worked as a foundation that something great could have been built upon. But then Rian Johnson threw away everything that had been set up in The Force Awakens and added barely anything of value, leaving J.J. Abrams with virtually nothing going into the final film. Mistakes were made all the way through the trilogy, but I think The Last Jedi is what really did it in.

On a serious note. I love how Anakin threw Palps into the pit. It actually would be an *ALMOST* decent way to end this dumpster-fire of a movie/trilogy. It's like Palpatine thought he could escape being killed by Anakin, but even in death he would face the pit.

Truth be told i allways found even ORIGINAL Palpatines death so unbelievable. Vader lifts him up and bas. carry him to big hole and then threw him down, then he is falling down for how long ..... ?!? And for all that time 1 of most powerful force user cant force jump, or use variations of force push/pull to get away from that situation ??? That makes abs. no sense.

honestly, i think something the sequels could have done is made palpatine the throughline for all three films. 7 would have snoke and the first order trying to revive him, 8 would reveal snoke being a failed clone and have him succeed in the resurrection through his death, then 9 would be about stopping the reformed palpatine once and for all.
