Was looking through the comments for exactly this. When he set up the bricks I was thinking he's testing shear instead of tensile so no way it's gonna hold up. I was surprised it didn't fail. They must be putting some extraterrestrial material in that glue!

Most likely it will have a higher shear allowable than tensile allowable (bonds are usually weaker in pull off, and good joints shouldn't have much tension load through them). Also there's little to zero moment at the edges because it's not constrained, the max is at center. The shear load will be approximately constant throughout this beam since it's a simply supported beam with point load

Yannkam 212 human skin is also a bit different than most things you’d be glueing together. It’s porous, and secretes oils on a regular basis. The glue would eventually just wear off.

As a construction engineer i can add 2 things: 1) Cement (concrete), epoxy as well as many other adhesives require no air to harden, as the chemical reactions are anaerobic (no air required). So this is not new technology at all. 2) Tensile strength (pulling two faces apart in opposite directions) does not equal shearing, or bending strength. You did a test of bending (max. bending moment) not tensile strength. So I'm surprised it held 500 pounds of shearing (at rest positions) and moment bending in the middle, as they probably tested the tensile strength to 1000 pounds.

A suggestion. Try revisiting the glue videos but when using the wood blocks rough sand them because it actually increases their holding strength due to the fact that it gives the glue a place to actually grab instead of a smooth surface plus use a brush so the glue is evenly applied. I believe your viewers will enjoy it and the results will be surprising.
