Of all the characters in Hunter x Hunter, only a handful seek out fighters for the pure love of battle. Hisoka is undoubtedly one of the strongest fighters in the series and he even believes himself to be the strongest so we’ll be going through his feats and narrative to see how strong The Magician truly is.

I think chrollo using that many abilities and saying it’s the most he’s ever used is proof that hisoka base is stronger than chrollo himself. But it’s a paradox because his ability is to steal others abilities in itself so he’s in his own rights to get however many for any fight, we just know that this one is the one he uses the most…Togashi got us ❤in a dead even tie 😂 He let a dream fight happen, and we still debate on who won when someone died 😂😂😂 cause it’s hxh!!!

Tbh Hisoka isn't far off from the royals Hisokas AP: His AP should be above the mid to high tiers of the zodiacs, to which puts him above the extermination squad, and it's stated knuckle is relative to kite in physicality To which, the zodicas are stated to be capable of sparring netero (likely martial arts) thus putting him in a sub relative to relative tier to netero, which is further supported by the fact Zeno is able to spar neteto, and be sub relative at minimum, and Hisoka, scales above Zeno, by scaling directly to Chrollo, with Hisoka having an edge in physicality. On top of this current Hisoka has access to post Mortem nen, which in theory should increase strength similarly to the base buff of first attaining nen, since pitou went from inferior to Adult gon, to capable of 1 shotting him, thus making it at minimum a 3x multiplier likely more (but a baseline of relative increase) thus putting Hisoka is the same tier has netero (without hatsu) Hisoka speed: Hisoka should be relative if not higher than chrollo, do to him being able to react to Chrollo. He should also be around pitous speed, since kite is able to react to pitou, and kite is physically on par with pitou, and Hisoka is at minimum 2 echelons higher than him, essentially meaning he can likely keep up with a series non supressed pitou. Abilities: Hisoka is currently able to: regenerate with bungee gum, create limbs with higher durability and more versatility and even revive himself in certain circumstances, and he's nen efficient; using little nen reserves when in battle Intelligence and ingenuity: Hisoka is able to adapt similarly if not better than how Gon can adapt, and Gon is shown to be more resourceful than most characters we've seen. He's also above Kuraprika in Intelligence, with him rivaling Chrollo, being able to create and master techniques and abilities upon learning (which rivals current knowledge ging) to which puts him in a top 10 IQ in the series, but arguable if the gaurd is above those characters or not Overall: AP: A tier Speed: A tier Abilities: S tier IQ: S tier Overall: Sub relative Royal gaurd level

I don’t think there’s anyone in the current serious that can beat him. Maybe Ging. Maybe Pariston. But at this point who really knows. That post mortem is completely new territory

Great video, however I would note that Hisoka’s “stats” for the zodiac don’t really mean much other than he sees them as strong fighters. In the series of Hunter Hunter it’s very clear throughout the show that no one can truly tell how strong their opponent is, it’s a major factor in many battles in the show. Hisoka even challenged Netero, which is safe to say Hisoka would get obliterated in mere seconds if they fought seriously. Other than Hisoka post Mortem nen I think that many many fighters in the show could defeat Hisoka.

the fact that you say this means the video went right over your head. hisoka is never wrong & has been shown to be used as not only a measure of strength , but a measure of personality & nen catagory. with that being stated, you really think his analysis of the zodiacs was wrong ? & him wanting to fight netero wasn’t simply because he thought he would win. hisoka is someone that likes to fights opponents of equal strength or STRONGER. he’s like a worrior that doesn’t care if he dies in battle as long as it was against a worthy opponent. which is why people say chrollo cheated in his fight againt hisoka. bc 1. hisoka is never wrong & during that fight, he was wrong. 2. like stated before, he doesn’t care if he dies but he did this time because soemthing was off but he didn’t explain what was off.

Many? Maybe like 6-7 tops, def wouldn’t say many. Ging, netero, Silva and Zeno, uvogin, maybe illumi, chrollo. That’s about it and none of those are guaranteed wins other than Zeno and netero. I know chrollo beat him, but hisoka could beat him. I’m not counting the ants since they are past the rule

Some correction, Silva did use a nen ability to kill cheetu. You csn literally see his arm turn back from purple color. Which is his nen ability's color. Also i doubt hisoka pre death was stronger than dragon from the zodiacs but idk. Even post nen sounds like equal to him. I mean check dragons information. Analyze his positions and achievements and role in the hunter world. He seems to be one of the strongest nen users we'll meet

The manga looks like Silva just did a regular punch I think the purple effect in the anime could just be indicating his aura rather than his nen ability specifically. You’re right about Botobai he could be stronger than Hisoka but the statement about him being closest to the Chairman is vague imo. He could arguably be stronger than Ging but that’s why I said “most of the zodiacs” just to account for possible unknowns.

Hisoka could very well be absurdly strong and might have a solid chance against multiple spiders if i dare say, all of them. If that's remotely the case I'm very excited for how Chrollo might turn the tables around. Given what Kurapika has done with vows, it's not unwarranted that even if the absurd scenario i predicted happens, he might still get an ass whopping from Chrollo himself

Is Hisoka's scaling of the Zodiacs even credible considering he isn't aware of their Nen Types, Abilities, or advanced applications such as conditions, restrictions, or contracts?

Nen users especially proficient ones can determine one’s strength based on their aura. An example would be Killua sensing the Gaunyin from Netero even without him activating his ability. Hisoka’s senses are especially highlighted ever since the Hunter Exams (chapter 10) that’s why he can tell Gon/Killua have really high potential. As for conditions, restrictions or contracts it kinda depends for example Bisky’s small form is supposed to conceal her true strength. However nen contracts/vows like what Gon did can be sensed based of Pitou sensing that Gon would be a threat to the King before even using Adult form. In general though I’d still say that we can take Hisoka’s rankings of the Zodiacs unless it gets contradicted somehow.

@@zagessj Interesting, I can definitely agree on this notion as it pertains to the amount of aura one can output, and the subsequent addition it brings to their physical capabilities(AP+MP). But I wouldn't necessarily says it puts certain characters over one another seeing as how important matchup are within the series. For example, Kurapika is definitely not as powerful as Uvo when it comes to aura output and physical feats, but his Nen abilities and further applications is what puts him over the top. Not to say that The Zodiacs have something so directly opposing to Hisoka, but that he could potentially lose more than not against a Zodiac depending on their abilities. But they're pretty featless, so we're just gonna have to see in the future. Hisoka could very well be right under Netero as the strongest known Human Nen user in the series.

@@zagessj I always thought texture surprised is a Condition and Vowed Nen. Like for example, He can only change anything as long as it's a flat surface i.e the Prophecy Sheet York New and The Surface of Book in Greed island. Additionally, in my head why would he conjure a cloth if he's gonna change it into something else? If he already mastered conjuring techniques, wouldn't it be more logical and efficient to conjure the actual effect than the cloth? About it, in my anime logic, He just carries around Cloth/Papers with him all the time because it's light material.
