In the original timeline, Jax never got his arms ripped off. He only metal arm coverings in MK3 to make himself stronger. In MK Deception, he had chosen to amputate his arms to make himself even stronger

They never even make it canon to mention him. Noob tells Sub-Zero that Smoke is in hell or in the Netherrealm but that’s all it. Even then, pre-fight intros aren’t always canon either. It’s just unreliable and unspecified to what happened to Smoke.

@@marcuslee7868 He can’t interfere in Mortal Kombat. This had nothing to do with the tournament, this was a Lin Kuei affair. Therefore, Raiden could have intervened like he did with Smoke. This is simply poor writing, something these games are no stranger to.

Basically When Cyber Sub Zero Dies in that Huge fight with Sindel Quan Chi resurrects Him But doesn't keep his Cyborg form. Hence why In MKX Sub Zero has a really cool Revenant Skin. AFTERRRRR Saving Johnny from near Death Raiden breaks Quan Chi's spell bringing back Jax and Sub Zero to Human form. If you didn't wanna read the comics lol.

@@ColorplasteredMore than that, he actually did keep his cyborg body but he was uncorrupted so Quan Chi used his magic to rip the metal off his corpse and basically reanimate it, all the while Sub Zero is screaming in pain. That’s why Sub Zero was so traumatized from being a revenant and his mkx intros make him seem on edge any time it’s brought up
