Hi Jovi. Hope your doing well. Ive used swiss beauty eyeshadow palette in the past and they were decent. Haven't tried any base products from them. The ingredients does sound dodgy 🫥. The content on packaging is just a classic case of lost in translation. When cost effective products are made in PRC, the packaging, designing, copy writing, etc are done there as well. In China, customisation ends up more expensive than the actual cost of the product. Since only less than 2% of Chinese population are even fluent in English. The content is usually written in Mandarin or maybe even Cantonese and the translation then solely relys on Google or other free apps. No proof reading done. I use to travel to China for work till 2019 and dealth with a whole of such issues..

This concealer isn't the darkest shade. You should have gone for 01 warm sand. Thats the darkest shade they have.

Yo I used 2 bottle of that concealer I use it as a colour correction for pigmentation around mouth and dark circles but now I got same shade in forever52 so I'm using that instead of swiss beauty

I recently tried the newly launched Swiss beauty micro precision eyebrow pencil & it was fab! The pencil feels quite luxurious & it performs wonderfully. It actually gives thin hair like strokes. But talking about their base products, be it foundations or concealer, I feel they could be more inclusive of the shade range and their shade names/numbers are quite confusing tbh. They should provide a shade reference card/sheet like some other brands do. For eg: elf provides a detailed shade card of their concealers where they’ve categorised the shades as per light, medium, deep & they also mention the oxidation.

Good Manufacturing Practices Certificate (GMPC) ensure that cosmetic and personal care products are manufactured with approved ingredients, under specified conditions of hygiene, and with proper documentation for all ingredients, processes, distribution and packaging. (Google says so 🤷)

Garnier is french, they don't need to make products to match all the indian skin tones. That should be for indian brands, which even in 2023 are barely up to the task. Garnier markets in India for those Indians with olive skin, not the darker tones. One shouldn't expect other nations to cater to these differences, when ones own nation doesn't.

When you talk about women with darker skin tones that abound our Indian population, can you also take a minute to ponder that 60% of the families in India are poor? Most of the women (and I repeat, most) in our country won't be able to afford a comparison between Swiss beauty foundation and concealer and a Charlotte Tilbury one. Even brands like Maybelline fit me can only be afforded by people of the middle class. Brands like Swiss beauty, Insight cosmetics, Blue heaven, Mars cosmetics are doing amazing stuff in extremely low budget for that 60% of the women who can't have the luxury of thinking through what ingredients they are putting on their skin for 7/8 hours when they wanna do make up. Please consider this scenario too when you are bashing brands like these.

What else are we expecting for such low price? Obviously they wont have the best formulation or variety shade range. It is fair to criticise a brand like maybelline or lakme for not bringing more shades to the indian market. But for a indian brand like swiss beauty it would be a loss in business to bring more darker shades when majority people are still trying to find lighter shades to match societal standards. NB: I’ve tried their eyeliners and eyeshadow palette, both were pretty good.

Nuthing wrong abt asking dem to be more inclusive since India has so many (if not majority) shades of brown. Its not country lyk Korea fr dat kinda excuse. If dey can afford to make 5 shades of light, dey can afford to make atleast 3-4 for tanner skin.

Yes, brands like Maybelline and rimmel just launch 40-50% of their shade in India. Swiss beauty, insight and mars are slowly trying to launch darker shades. Insight and Swiss beauty have cream Concealers for deep skin. These brands are slowly improving. We can expect those shades in future. And for formulations, they are doing equally good job. Some studies shows that Maybelline and loreal mascaras have toxic ingredients. So I feel these brands are doing better job. In future they may do even well.

GMP certification aka GMPC: good manufacturing practice certified product/manufacturing premises. All meds/medical products as well as cosmetics and food sold in India and in several other countries require the GMP certification as a proof that the products are safely manufactured as per the law. Not getting into technicalities here, but if you need more info, let me know.

GMP is good manufacturing practices. Generally all the pharmaceutical products have to pass GMP guidelines . I didn’t know it’s valid for cosmetics also.

Jovi ..I think u should say something ..on how sugar and nyakka ..is removing there dark shades foundation from their website..I am a shade no 06 (lungo ) ace my face foundation of sugar and suddenly they remove that ..😢😢same happen with nyakka antipollution foundation I was shade mystic maple and they remove that also ..🥺🥺🥺.

GMP- good manufacturing paractices. It is one of the many GxP regulations in place. All companies, dependeing on the specific industry they are in, are suposed to comply with the relevant gxp regulations as applicable. Now, how does it help to get high coverage, who knows 😂

Dont know this brand. If its named appropriately then they should be making shades for Swiss skin. So its ok that they dont cover indian skin tones. They dont need to, thats for induan brands to do. But if this is a misnomer and this is an indian brand, then its a problem.
