We all know how a tennis ball smells when you first open the container I could only imagine how dangerous it is to inhale whatever fumes or chemicals it takes to make these balls it would be nice to see these workers wear a mask or some sort of protection other than that they look like they’re amazing workers I wish them the absolute best.

I work in dunlop before and the process was similar i was amazed to this people workmanship but the deference is dunlop has more SOP safety and machinery for massive production and quality control, i hope that next video people have PPE for safety, good job :)

Actually the dust on his hands n the smooth steel rollers don't grip. But the rubber grips the rollers good so it gets sucked in.

you guessed right 'cause they don't. :-) the ones which are made under the brand of Wilson, Penn, Babolat, etc. are made using modern machines in big factories since they need to get verified by ATP or ITF

Man I hallucinated a liveleak logo at the side. So many things that are bound to go wrong. I am actually impressed if no one has ever gotten injured here especially when even places with super high safety standards ect has things go wrong from time to time. Still pretty neat and I respect people who do whatever they can to earn an honest buck keep up the good work.

There are no safety conditions because they're just cranking these balls out anybody will buy anything it's like putting out a new broom it's another tennis ball in society today the consumer doesn't care too much they're not professional so they'll buy anything that's put out there on the market these balls aren't even pressurized on this video it's just the way it is they're doing a great job they're putting their stuff together and they're pumping it out and putting it on the market

Looks very professional and well-regulated. No chance of injury or chemical poisoning, respiratory problems or contamination here to clearly see. Feeding in materials in to multi-ton presses laying on the floor with exposed belts and pulleys and gears with your hands should be standard procedure. Cutting edge operation. On par with that bio-lab in California.

But an assembly line can knock out these out 500k a day and sell them 3/$2, so what they produce is of little value. Do I deserve a lot of money for running around in a circle all day really hard?

My family owns also this kind of business and we also produce tennis balls but there's really a huge difference on how they make it. I think u need to be pretty skilled here cuz they really rely on the man power while at our factory the operation is run mostly by robots and there are just few people.

I had played tennis during the era when Bjorn Borg rose to stardom and never wondered how those tennis balls where made much less how they come to be!! Now I have given up the game when Borg too had given his game it was nostalgic now knowing how those fun balls where made!! Thank you

As a safety minded person I had to stop the video halfway through. The amount of hazards these people are exposed to is mind boggling! Uncovered cogs, open towed shoes,no roller cover,no emergency brake, in case a hand gets caught in the rollers,etc. I'm just flabbergasted at how some employers can get away with this kind of stuff! No matter what country this kind of stuff is from.

No gloves, no shoes, no protective gear of any kind, and people's hands are exposed to moving machinery and they breathe in potentially toxic dust and fumes. No wonder we outsource everything to India and China. These men work so hard, they deserve more appreciation. I hope they're making enough to feed their families.
