Hello Guys! This is part two of my Amish series. If you want to see PART 1 it's here: kzfaq.info/get/bejne/sJyDn62L0JvLpX0.html CORRECTION: Also, I shot this video a bit over a month ago. I stated restaurants were closed in San Francisco (other than takeout) which was true at the time I shot this video. Since then outdoor dining has resumed and indoor dining is at 25%. And this is hopefully just a start with my Amish content. This summer I hope to do a deeper dive in Landcaster County, PA, or Ohio. I need to find the right people to bring me in. Thanks for coming along!

Would be hard to get out of some of the addiction of technology as it's made to be addictive nowadays, especially the TV anymore with Netflix, Hulu, Prime video, etc...where there's always something addicting on them before you used to put the TV on for sports, TV show you like, now it's all right at your fingertips.

My Grandmother's family left Lancaster Pa in a covered wagon and went to Ohio in the 1800s. On the way, they had to burn their furniture due to the cold but they saved one Governor Winthrop Desk which is still in the family. Eventually, they settled in northeast Indiana. My Great Great Grandfather donated the land for the first Mennonite Church in Leo, Indiana.

I am originally from San Diego, California and moved here to Wisconsin 9 years ago and I live in an area that has a big Mennonite community. These are some of the best people I have ever had the pleasure of knowing. They are just so amazing because they are there for one another when there is a need. They have helped My family when we had financial difficulties. I’ve had the honor of attending a wedding and a couple funerals. They help when there is a disaster such as the fires that occurred out in California. The Paradise fire. They Went out there and helped that community rebuild and they donate clothing etc. to other Countries etc. I feel very blessed to be living here and interacting with these people. Thank you for having this channel. God Bless You.

These people are so nice it brings a tear to my eyes. I worked with Amish for about 6-8 months in Topeka, IN and I have nothing but massive respect and reverence for the Amish community. They are wonderful, hard working, and very fun people. Sure, they have their problems and drama, but that's because they're human just like everyone else! Also, I'd argue that the Amish were the wisest people in this country by deciding to stay away from technology. Technology will be the end of us, and we are seeing a taste of that right now.

@@cheaserceaser Facebook is on record on censoring information during the 2019 Election in order to sway voters a particular way. Google and Apple collect information and routinely passive aggressively mock and disrespect the common man who does not believe what they believe. Twitter is a mess with many crazed, strongly opinionated people who lean left doxxing and bothering those that they disagree with; it is mainly used as a propaganda tool by The Left. CNN has removed its the mask and revealed they're just a left wing propaganda, fear-mongering network.

@@monicack523 Peter doesn't make these videos to convert people to Amish or Hasidic Judaism, you know? He's doing this to show us all communities which a lot of us don't get the chance to see especially if we don't live in America, and with these videos he's trying to show us the reality of those people and how their communities look like, and trying to get an opinion from the inside. I am pretty sure most of his viewers are intelligent enough to know that these communities are not perfect but we can still learn a lot from them and start to appreciate the things that we no longer pay attention to. I live in a Jewish community although I'm not Jewish, but I appreciate a lot of things at these people and I have learned a lot from seeing them every day. There's things to learn from everywhere, you just need to have an open mind and be less judging, nobody is telling you to join their community.

My late husband worked with an Amish man for a bit & we were invited to fish his families pond. Let me tell you we caught a stringer and they invited us back for a fish fry on the 4th of July. That was, and still is to this day, the best fish fry I've ever attended. The food was absolutely amazing. They were extremely accommodating and told us we were now family & welcomed us back anytime.

So long as this is just to point out a difference in cultures than fine. But lets not say that sitting and reading is somehow better than playing for children, because it flat out isn't. @@adamschroering741 No worries. It’s just very hard to take in the whole picture based off one one little snippet of it is all I’m saying. Those kids might have been sitting there being well behaved because they are good kids raised with respect or they could have been sitting there out of fear of what will happen if they move. My ex worked for CYS here in Pa and they’d get called out to the Amish towns quite often. Once was because they had their kid chained to a tree to keep it from running while they worked in the field. On an unrelated note, this was a great video but in my opinion it’s not really giving the most accurate insight to the Amish. This community is far different than most, it literally is like Vegas for the Amish and he even said “what happens in Florida stays in Florida” most of them are either on vacation or have retired there, usually to escape the very strict rules of their home sect. I don’t think they are bad people or anything, quite the opposite, I just think a lot are living in fear of their bishop or fear of god or fear of being shunned by the church and their community. There’s another good documentary on here somewhere that’s around 2 hours about 2 guys who got shunned/excommunicated and all they were doing is getting together to study the Bible. That was against their rules, reason being if they read the Bible they’d realize most of their rules taught by the bishop are not Gods rules at all. His own dad was a deacon at the church. I think the town in this video is probably the best possible way, it seems like they’ve kept all the hood parts of the Amish culture and have left all the bad parts elsewhere, though by the sounds of it that might be changing since the one guy said the Lancaster people are coming down there and are much more conservative than they are.
