They were never found “innocent” in the UEFA case. CAS threw out the charges because they were time barred. No other reason

City were guilty of breaking FFP regulations but were saved by a timing technicality. They cannot appeal to CAS this time around, only to the FA's appeal adjudicator, so if they are found guilty, they will receive a serious indictment and rightly so.
