I'm impressed. The scariest part of a cake is having to deliver it and this looks amazing. I hope you and your wife are very successful with this product, you deserve it! Awesome idea I'll start saving now.

I'm in love with this! Such a genius design. With baking in NYC, the transporting of the cakes is so nerve wracking sometimes

Under all the tiers there is a cardboard plate, the center rod goes through the cardboard plate and holds it securely in place. The cake stand stays in place because of the weight of the cake (gravity works well in this case). It the cake does not move at all, the stand will not move. I hope this helps.

Could you please explain me how the rod lock on the bottom of the metal cake stand ?? Is my big cuestion thanks because I need more than 3 of them thanks!!
@CakeSafeLLC8 жыл бұрын
+Michel Rodriguez There is a hole in the bottom of the CakeSafe that the center rod fits perfectly into. The center rod would not go through a metal base if that is what you are using. My guess is that the metal stand is for display purposes once it gets to the venue, yes? We would suggest keeping the cake on a more pliable base, like cardboard, while in the CakeSafe so that the center rod can go through and do it's job. Then, once you get to the venue, move the cake onto the metal display. Hope that helps!

i need to deliver cakes using a bike!! could this help me doing that??

will the rod go through a thick cake drum that it will be displayed on?
@CakeSafeLLC8 жыл бұрын
Hi Barbie, It will go through a cake drum that is 1/2" thick no problem as long as it's cardboard or a material that a knife would cut through. If the cake drum is thicker than 1/2" then simply pre-drill a 2" hole in the center of the drum. Also pre-drill if the drum is made from a material that a knife could not cut through - like hard plastic, or wood.

Could you please explain me how the rod lock on the bottom if you have the cake placed over a metal cake stand, like the three tiers cake that you show in this video. That is my big concern, since all of my cakes are placed on metal or wood cake stand. Thanks in advance for your response.

Im assuming you NOT deliver on a base with metal or wood until you are at the venue...

Yes I would like to know that too. The cake in the last box is on a metal stand

on the second cakesafe how does the square cake stay in place when there is a 2" hole around it? All so on the third one wont the cake stand move because the rod does not go through the cake stand itself?

This contraption does not defeat Newton's first law. In an environment where inertia is present the cake will be on one side of this box. A sudden stop or maneuver in a vehicle that may exert greater than .5 to 1 G-force, the cake will seperate from its contact surfaces.
@CakeSafeLLC7 жыл бұрын
Hi Tom, You are correct, Newton's first law will always hold true. But as you know if you're a baker there is a cardboard cake board beneath every tier on a tiered cake. The center rod making it's own hole all the way through every one of these cardboard disks is what keeps the cake in place. If the center rod was just passing through cake, you'd be right... the cake would be on the other side of the box if you had to slam on the brakes. But every tiered cake has either cardboard or foamcore under every tier. You can SLAM on your brakes, drive on the bumpiest roads, we've even had a customer whose child accidentally pushed her CakeSafe off a counter, and another who had to stop short and the CakeSafe flipped on it's side. In every case, the cake has not been damaged. Check out the testimonials and reviews from our customers: www.cakesafe.com/testimonials?tid=3 Let me know if you have any questions. Warmly, Rachel

Does it goes tru if you use styrofoam ?
@CakeSafeLLC2 жыл бұрын
Great question! You want to make a 1 inch hole in styrofoam tiers. The CakeSafe rod will go through it fine, but it will get stuck and be a problem to remove. We use an apple corer to make the hole, or you can buy your cake dummies from guildcraftfoam.com. They sell them with pre-made holes. And just to confirm, you only want a hole in styrofoam dummies. You do not want premade holes in your cardboard cake boards between tiers. The CakeSafe center rod making its own hole in your cardboard between tiers is what keeps the cake so stable. Every CakeSafe comes with complete instructions too!
