As of now prescriptions from your Pharmacy are safe. They’re talking about counterfeit pills made to look like legitimate medications. Which are sold on the black market. As long as you’re getting your prescription meds from your pharmacy you’re good. Just don’t buy anything off the street. Sadly our regulations on legitimate opiate prescriptions helped contribute to this problem. As they cut off many legitimate patients more and more people started turning to heroine and/or finding these pills on the street. Now fentanyl is being added to other fake medicines. It’s absolutely heartbreaking! A close friend of mine lost their 20 year old son to a pill he got from a friend. He thought was a Xanax but it was fake and had fentanyl in it. He never woke up… 😔🙏
