When they said she was going crazy, she was awakening. When they said that she was isolating, she was healing. When they said she was acting funny, she was growing. When they said that she had changed, she was evolving. When they said she did not care anymore, she finally realized that her peace lives within. When they said he was becoming distant, he was learning to trust himself. When they said he was losing touch, he was finding his inner voice. When they said he was being stubborn, he was asserting his boundaries. When they said he was aloof, he was finding solitude and serenity. When they said he was being unrealistic, he was dreaming bigger.

I'm puzzled by the number of commenters who praise/thank/worship Eckhart. He has described himself as 'a man sitting on a chair, talking'. I believe he allows himself to become, briefly, a conduit for the wisdom of the cosmos; it comes thru him, not from him. I think that if a person worships Sahdguru, Osho,Eckhart or a guru, they may be missing the point of all this. Pay much attention to the message. The messenger? Not so much 🙏🏽🙏🏽🙏🏽

JPMorgan-ye5pc . . .give thanks that the messenger's manifested place is the here and now. He has done well to get this far. And in doing so, recognize that we offer the nod of acknowledgement affirming that we appreciate his/her surrender to the share. For it is the messenger that fosters and allows our unique consciousnesses, humanity and all, man and the woman alike, to interact humanely with each other. And therein she, as conduit, leaves none but the unconscious, to the stars. For it is a far more nuanced, if not complicated being, with wich sharing may not come so readily. Such acknowledgment, is better understood as a group's resonant release within a shared frequency our self affirmation. Blessings. Best of days.

What is wrong with expressing appreciation for someone who is willing to be the conduit for spreading universal wisdom? Eckhart is doing the world a great service by making himself and his teachings publicly available. Fame is a sacrifice few are able to manage well. It's just a pity that even access to universal wisdom costs money. But everyone's got to eat.

@@GrahamQuigley Your first two sentences lack verbs … but I think I know what you were trying to say. Eckhart often explains that our Ego - or personality, sense of self - is an artificial construct based on mental and social conditioning. The 'person' isn't real but over the years it persuades itself it is real and acts as though it's real. I - the consciousness abiding in me - bought the package lock, stock and barrel until quite recently, enduring all the pain and misery the personality suffered through. Eckhart spoke in a way that caught my attention and enabled my consciousness - Mooji's 'witness' - to become aware that I'm not the 'who' or person, I'm the 'what' or consciousness temporarily hosted in carnate form. This truth comes through Eckhart et alia but is not from his personality direct to mine. The message is vital, literally; Eckhart and I are not. That's why I floated the idea that hero worshiping might be counterproductive. Eckhart states that he tries to help people spiritually but it's simply what he does; if he calls himself a spiritual teacher, it becomes egoic. Your response to my comment implied that my Ego is displaying a holier-than-thou attitude toward others by suggesting they focus on the message rather than the messenger. But Graham, do your final words "Mmm... I think this might be ego in another form" not apply to your response as well? There's an old Monty Python skit where the ensemble suddenly stop and point at the camera and ask "Who's filming us?" As we see them rush to the camera, they then ask: "So who's filming us now?" and rush toward the 2nd camera. And so on. Thus it is with Presence as well, I think. As long as we're talking or thinking about Presence, we're not present. It's paradoxical for sure but seems to be inevitable when you come to truly believe you don't have a life but you are in fact Life itself. Amen.

Whether you like Eckhart or not in the comments, I love how he tells stories that express the bigger picture. People want the gaslighting from the media that distort the bigger picture versus listening to someone telling the story that has many levels of wisdom. The person listening gets to decide how they interpret the story according to their perception of life.

I’m curious of how Tolle reconciles with the existence of his own ego. Despite his critiques of ego distorting one’s sense of self, he still maintains his presentation and dresses professionally. Makes me wonder how he makes peace with the desire to look good at all, knowing that that will inevitably cause suffering. Can you imagine this speech if he was unshaven and haggard, wearing nothing but rags? Probly got a guy like that on every corner in every city across the world, but instead of his wisdom being recognized he’s looked down at as a bum.

As both time and space shifts into a sort of binding interstellar drive. Where the observer who is self aware quitely notices how the very landscape soften both in form and texture. And the ego is rendered in total surrender. . . Blessings. Best of days.

That would have been a question for Dr Oliver Sacks. Great question. I've aged, I don't look as I remember, I suppose I have accepted my again process, I rail against the changes instead of accepting, I suppose I should be getting on it now, accepting the stranger that is still me, aged by still the green eyed little girl with pure white hair and a lovely smile, somewhere, I lost "self", its terribly painful, it may take a mirror, for me to accept my aged self, and gentleness to accept " real self, inside.

I can relate. It's not a bad thing though. It may be telling you that you are a very sensitive person I am an empath Loud noises My nervous system is reset by spending time in nature. Connecting with the grounding of this Earth. I used to feel this irritation too until I started learning more about myself and who I truly am. I also calmed by listening to teachersike Eckhart. I love that he has a sense of humor too. Delving into learning about our spirituality, our purpose for our life experiences etc etc can be very cerebral where we are deeply thinking and seriouslyfovusing and processing all the thoughts and view points , teaching etc of evolved people like Eckhart. His humor provides much needed comic relief. I realized that the irritation came from trying to process all that wisdom and my will to have that wisdom become a part of me. It can be overwhelming where we then begin to feel irritated It's just a signal that we need to step back, relax, breathe, centre yourself back to a more peaceful state of being. I think it's a great sign that your waking up to your own truth and beginning the work of carving out a new path for your life. Maybe this is helpful? In any case I wanted to validate your feelings as I've been challenged with feelings of being irritated and it's such an uncomfortable state of existence Big hugs! I avoid crowds

watched it in 1.75x speed, it was just fine. The story is good but it feels that the ending is abrupt.

oh how we convince ourselves we are our ego and suffer until months later when we remember oh wait that isnt me! says: i'm a loser and cries. says: Yes actually you're right i am a loser and cries too. Months after suffering, says: okay fine im a loser so what? now what? When you watch your suffering with a bit of detachment, it is actually so relieving and soothing watching your ego die and cry over attachments. you almost just enjoy seeing it suffering and that its dying because it so not true and its so full of itself and it puts you through so much illusory pain and distortion for no reason and makes you question your worth for so long It then becomes fun to actually tease your ego when it says "oh look there goes the person who rejected you, how beautiful she is and she didnt want you ahh." and instead of believing it and the painful emotions, you respond saying " yes theyre so great im not, i missed out, im a loser, what can i do now?" and watching it get triggered and dissolve in seconds.

Him , and j.krishnamurti are the best ones to listen if you are feeling disconected to the people and self centered. Although , I think the j.krishnamurti is a little bit harsher , but still its the same thing they talk about

If it were not for spirituality, I would be attached to my physical form in a very unhealthy way. Thank you to my Guru, I am so detached from my physical form. Just need to work on the mind

@@jessygirl4339 , I live the teachings of my Guru, as well as practice Kriya, and do a lot of intergrating his energy into my life, it is a lifestyle to keep remiding me of the source within. I wont lie to you, it is really a painful process to realise the self, I am not contantly in this space, but I have experienced my true self IN a body. Took lifetimes of kindness , determination, awareness and hard work doing good until this life I finally met my Guru who guides me and empowers me to realising the true self. Now I am aware that this body is just a form and not WHO I truly am. Blessings to all who walk the path. It is worth it.

"The body does not last", there can be exceptions to that, i.e., Cher, others? We don't have to identify with our bodies. We can know our true selves, our souls and yet take pleasure in caring for our bodies and directing them to look good, manifesting the bodies we want. But that is beyond the scope of this bit of video. This is a good video BTW, as are all of Tolle videos. Thank you. Can you please post the parts of the talk that went before and after this segment?

Let me break this down as I see it. If a teacher runs out of content then looks like Wikipedia is a good source for more content stuff. Quote; " Narcissus walking through the woods, very happy", hello! Narcissus was a very happy man, so whats the problem. So now we have a teachers version of the story. Its just the luck of the draw where Narcissus physical source within that initially formed his lineage of the intelligent species produced a human being that is considered BY OTHERS as to be beautiful, where this teachers lineage has completely missed out. You see ,this teacher did not complete the Narcissus Myth. Narcissus was known for his beauty by all first, that means the people considered Narcissus looks as perfect, not Narcissus himself. The ego is just a tool the physical source uses as a send and receive messages to the brain. It's great that the physical source within can tell brain, via the ego tool, to look at a mirror or pond so that the physical source could see a reflection of what it formed and evolved into, finally. Of course the physical source within would be ecstatic of what it formed. There is nothing conceptual about a/the physical source because it is a physical source, its physical. This teacher has a major problem not understanding the physical source within nor how it derived nor the real purpose of the ego tool. No ego means no evolving.
