In the Summer of 2019, the Golden State Warriors dynasty looked dead in the water. Klay Thompson was out with a major knee injury, Kevin Durant had left for Brooklyn, and the Warriors depth was aging. The formidable core wasn’t getting any younger, and the Warriors front office knew they needed to make near perfect decisions to win another championship. The ensuing seasons featured strategic rebuilding, excellent trade decisions, and fantastic development from once unknown players. Three years following the 2019 finals, in 2022, Golden State stood tall as NBA champions once again. So how did they do it? How did the Golden State Warriors take what was a team full of aged veterans and transform them into a thriving championship team? This is how the Golden State Warriors saved their dynasty.

For a team criticized for needing to be a super team to win. It was awesome to see them build the guys nobody believed in. The Warriors really flipped every single criticism of them on their head with this season.

Agreed,, actually when they won in '15 nobody really thought they were a super team, everybody was drafted except iggy and no one ever considered him a super star in the nba. In '16 the break the nba regular season record and go all the to a game 7 with the same team and unfortunately loose to lebron. I guess they became a super team adding kd but after he left they added Wiggs who many considered a bust and now they win ring #4. Other team like the nets or lakers actually go out and recruit multiple superstars to create a super team and fall flat on their faces. Tome if you draft and develop and your guys turn into stars, that's the best way to build a great team

@@inidbil7277 They did Steph dirty criticizing him for losing in 2016 as if they were supposed to be the title favorite. The 2016 warriors was NOT a super team, and they won 73 games because Curry was a revolutionary player. Good for curry winning his 4th but that 2022 title has every luck into it. The nuggets they faced in the 1st round didnt have jamal murray and mpj, imagine what jokic couldve done to them if they were healthy that series. In West Semis, they were also lucky they didnt face a healthy grizzlies team from game 4 to 6 without Ja Morant. I know they demolished the grizzlies in game 3 but game 4 was a close game without ja and in game 5, the warriors were blownout by 50 pts without morant. Having a superstar healthy is very important in the playoffs and the grizz couldve given them an exciting game 6 if Morant was playing and maybe they would force a game 7. In the WCF, the warriors were lucky the suns did a chokejob vs mavs. The mavs werent supposed to be in wcf and the suns wouldve been a better matchup than them even though i despise the suns. And lastly in the finals, nobody was scared of the celtics. They were inconsistent and they were lucky to beat the heat in 7 in ECF in a close game. It would have been entertaining if it was the Warriors vs Heat in 2022 and Nuggets and Celtics in 2023 but nah, the basketball gods have other plans.

Arrogant and big people who thinks less of small people and insecure small people who think less of small people (themselves), which is why they will never root for a small person because they apply the same bias and insecurity they have for themselves to others. (remember the anime "Haikyuu"? There was a coach in volleyball there who is small and he hates the protagonist who is also a small person. @@maplenerd22 also, I would add, it's not as much Lacob and the crew themselves who care about the luxury tax, it's the other teams. The other teams have been apparently getting perturbed at Lacob's willingness to spend the extra cheddar to keep the warriors in contention. So while Lacob himself might not care as much, he doesn't want to attract the ire of the other owners and the league as a whole. He's even said as much, which earned him a fine recently. Regardless, as a warriors fan, I absolutely adore our ownership group and front office. It's so nice knowing that your team isn't afraid to do what it takes to put together and keep together a championship team. Like, even with Draymond asking for a max, I'm confident he ain't going anywhere. We'll give him the money, just like we're gonna give Wiggins and Poole the money too. With fluidity and as a unit.” Also, this team is by far my favorite because of the pieces that made it up. The funny thing is - and yes of course GSW is great at development - but everyone credits the Warriors for developing Wigs. What they really developed was his mind. He’s the same player with a different mindset… a winning one. A silent beast, no less.

Seeing all of the narratives against us end was great too, definitely the best championship we’ve won so fun to watch
