Eli not exactly. The london blitz was from september 7th 1940 - may 11th 1941. Which isn’t in the summer so when tom went back to the orphanage that year the london blitz was over. The reason he wanted to live in hogwarts was because he felt home there and in the orphanage he felt out of place.

The only book to discuss in detail the creation of a horcrux, Secrets of the Darkest Art, was available in the restricted section of the Hogwarts library before Dumbledore ordered its removal. Obviously as a professor, Slughorn is allowed to enter the restricted section and might have read it during that time. Another possibility is that an acquaintance simply gave him a copy because of his influence.

The knowledge itself is easy to find for a very powerful wizard. Slughorn is in top 5 most knowledge wizards

@ Dark magic isn't necessarily evil, speaking in real world terms, if you believe in that sort of thing. Even the darkest, most cruel curse could be put to good use. Such as stopping sexual predators, serial killers, etc.

Well the only way known, directly, to destroy a horcrux was via anything that was beyond magical ability to restore. Basilisk venom and by proxy the sword fit that description. Not as an item on a specific list, per se. Same with hellfire. I'm sure there are other ways to do it as well ass long as you cross a high bar.

I think once there isn't enough soul inside V then it would be too torn and small to make another. If you rip your shirt into 7 pieces, the smaller pieces will be harder to tear. Hender’s comment is the most accurate. It would be logical to conceal a fragment of his soul in a mundane and unrecognisable object but he was conceited and valued powerful artefacts. Only a parselmouth could open Slytherin’s locket (why would they bother?) making it very strong. I also think that he’d like to be able to recognise his horcruxes, he might want to check on them or move their location and trace them.

The horcruxes he made were carefully chosen, well hidden and even the fact that he had them in the first place was a very well conceiled secret. Yes, he could've chosen more mundane things, but he chose those artifacts because of their (magical) longevity and the fact that time and nobody, who would stumble upon them randomly would destroy them. You need to know that these artifacts are horcruxes in the first place, you need to find them and you need very special means to destroy them.

Because if you are to fight dark magic you must understand it. It was in the restricted section for a reason.

Even in our schools, we learn bad or good things at the same time. So, it is normal to keep dark magic books in lib. For example, Professor Slughorn likes to discuss these kind of things in order to understanding academic subjects.

not really. he was still Tom Riddle. he may have just changed his name at that point, but was still Tom at that time. it was when he was in the early stages of becoming Voldemort that he was transforming into Voldemort. Once it was completed, then he became Voldemort, he became his name.

the movies also dont't show his body after the horcruxes, for what it seems the depiction of voldemort in the movies is more akin to when he was in the process and went asking for a job than of what he looked like in the books when he had done all of them

This is a very late answer but Snape was a death eater. He killed and harmed for the dark lord before switching sides. He wasnt innocent by any stretch but he felt remorse and therefore was able to repair his soul.

The video suggestion for who is master of elder Wand now would be hard to guess. There could be two possibilities by the time of the curse child. Theory 1 - I'm guessing harry would have, working as a aura for the ministry, atleast been disarmed at some point in the 19 years leading upto the cursed child, making that person the master, so they will even be in azkaban now, dead or free on the streets and probz been beaten by someone else in some way by now and so on and so on, making it harder and harder to trace. Or 2nd theory - the elder Wand seeks the stronger opponent in a duel and will only win the duel against a weaker opponent in order to gain a stronger master, even if it's current master is the weakest wizard (seeking the master of death is the purpose of the wand) so if harry is the strongest Wizard of the age thn it will stay with him until his death, ending the elder Wand as it has no master. But either way harry through the Wand where no one will find it (or snapped it depending on book vs film) so there can actually be no master without a Wand, it just hopefully layed dormant at the bottom of the cliffs of hogwarts forever, if not and was discovered sometime in future it should thn work as it did for voldermort, as any other Wand would work for him but not perform extraordinary magic but that's only if the death stick would choose to let them weild it

Harry broke the Elder Wand right after he used it to fix his original wand. He is and will always be the true master of it and it’s power will die with him
