Against this as a layman, I knew nothing about chiascuro and sfumato, it helped me articulate why davincis or carvagios work was better than their predecessors. I usually don't do a lot of photography, so I definitely didn't understand when other youtubers were complaining about over-processed look. This helped me clearly contrast between the plasticky look vs picture of Adams which had more gradual shift of tonality, plus your pace is slow and relaxed which helped me stick throughout the video. This just might make me a photography nerd!

You're quickly knowing down every tech youtuber I know for the place of number one in my opinion! There's many things about you, your style and your channel that is just amazing! To begin with, you're more relaxing, taking your time, slower tone and lower voice which is just so relaxing to watch coming from the rushing speed like videos by other youtubers. There's no loud strong music, just calming voice, nice visuals and relaxing vibes. Second, your content is so thoroughly researched, so nicely presented that a child can understand it and mmm just so nice! Your scripts are very well made, your editing is really good, it gives off older vibes but they're so calming and nice that I can't help but fall in love with how you do things! And yeah, we understand that these aren't your full time job, neither are they your priority, plus making quality content so good takes a lot of effort so take as much time as you need for them and have fun with it! You're one of my favorite channels now and I hope to see you grow so so so much! Last thing lel, I loved the way you edited the raw files, I never imagined they had so much potential in them, I wish we could define how we liked our pictures processed rather than the device deciding for us. Power in our hands!

This! His videos feel so natural, so different from the dopamine mining videos that just leave one drained and starving for more. Some of those videos are cool to watch from time to time, but it becomes a problem when that style is repetitive and infused in everything. I totally agree with you on the "personalised photography" too; I love that Apple thought to include templates for it, and I hope android manufacturers pick up on something similar. It would be very on-brand for Google to do so too, considering how their Material-You seems to be "user-unique centric".

@@joszsz Mhm! Google should absolutely pick up personalized photography for Android 13. It's so well set with their whole idea. Apple offers it but it's pretty narrow set to pick from. On the other hand, Google could make it so we can fully customize it or do it partially with AI's help or let the device do the work. That would be awesome! Plus imagine mods for the default camera! Sure there are apps out there you can install but damn, I love the idea of applying various mods to your camera app.

@@Coco-Loco Yes! Adding mods with toggles to easily enable or disable them would be great too, but I doubt they would. Google prefers to play it safe and leave the extra customisable features for third party OEMs to implement; I can't fathom why they continue to do so

Another banger, mate. The care and thoughtfulness of this video (as well as your other two deep dives) are so refreshing and engaging. 6:42 this is such a great way of summarising the hopes for future personal electronics. AR glasses, smart clothes, Neuralink style BCIs... The promise of all of them is that they meld into us, they become as convenient and intuitive as controlling your own body parts. I don't think we're close to that world, and I'm not bullish on any particular tech at the moment, but yeah, you articulated something that I just didn't know how to say, so thanks

Great explainer man! That's probably one of the reasons why I shoot streets with my 11 year old powershot rather than my 2020 phone, besides the handling, the photos are more organic, more true to life. I don't mind the noise or the non HDR look, for me it looks more pleasing to the eyes. Your JPEG vs RAW comparison really pinpointed how processing on phones has made it albeit simpler for novices to shoot and share and harder for us nerds to edit it the way we like it.

This channel deserves so much more attention. It's not just top notch tech talk, it's top notch research, explanations, edits and such a pleasant watch everytime! Basically a guarantee. Take all the time you need when doing these contents. Side note from an Italian: chiaro is pronounced something like "kià raw" (stress on the first a). It might have been tricky cause it's 2 words in one (chiaro≈pale; scuro≈dark) so there are 2 stresses (chiàroscùro). Loved your pronunciation tho :)
