They took in Mexicans right away though... the Almighty Saints Gang was also Polish but were around for years before Mexicans moved in, but they recruited them not long after they started moving in, The Ambrose Gang started from the beginning as a Mixed Mexican and Italian gang... most white gangs that still exist in Chicago are now basically Hispanic gangs... like C - Notes, that were actually once prospects for The Italian Mafia
