World of Warcraft: How the Void Elves Allied Race joins the Alliance, complete Void Elf Quest Scenario and Racial Introduction cutscene.
Void elves (or ren'dorei, "children of the Void" in Thalassian) are a race of Void-infused elves affiliated with the Alliance. Their origins lie with the blood elf magister Umbric who was exiled from Silvermoon along with his followers because of their research into the Void. They were transformed by void ethereals but rescued by Alleria Windrunner, who had gained mastery of the Void herself on Argus. Pledging their loyalty to her and the Alliance, they established themselves as the ren'dorei.
The void elves seek to utilize their great but dangerous powers for the sake of defending Azeroth and the Alliance, and to prove those who doubt or judge their abilities wrong, all the while resisting the Void's call to madness. They have the ability to metamorphose into a Void form. They are based in Telogrus Rift. The ren'dorei's emergence attracted other blood elves and high elves to their cause.

@@DagothDaddy no, when did he stood by as sylvanas raise dead belves? There is a dialogue when she tries and he tells her to stand back or he will react, forcing her to not claim the elves corpses. Lorewise sylvanas has not been able to raise any more bloodelves, thats why she has to get her darkranger from darnassus instead

@@lethos8811 during the attack on Lorderon he had no issue with her raising Horde soldiers of poisoning them . And I know I miss that Lorethemar during MoP he was talking shit on her threatening her now in BfA and in data mined info he is either non existent in the story or just standing by her doing nothing at least Baine is calling her out Lorthemar is just acting like her bitch

@@DagothDaddy lorewise bloodelves have not been involved in any major battle since the burning crusade so there were little to none of them during the siege of undercity. I think his ways are simple, he carries the weight of his people and expect other leaders to do the same for their followers. If baine lets her raise dead tauren thats baine's problem. But when she tried to do that to elves theron said no an it was no. He is no bitch, just remember that although ingame the blood elves outnumber by far any other race, lorewise they are at the brink of extinction since they havent got time to replenish their numbers after the Fall, so whenever you see a major battle ingame, elves probably were not in it lorewise and if they were, it was not at the front and only as a token support force, probably flanking enemies or providing cover fire from behind. Trolls, orcs and tauren are the ones being killed and raised but orcs and trolls have no influence right now with both their racial leaders dead. Baine is the one being a bitch

+xLetalis Magister Umbric is voiced by Dee Bradley Baker. He did the voice of Captain Rex in Star Wars: The Clone Wars and Star Wars Rebels.

Best allied race, especially aesthetically, it's a diamond in the rough that many fail to appreciate. Not only is it more unique than the extinct High Elves, they bring a different tone to the Alliance that can spark interesting plot. Even the otherworldly starting zone gives me goosebumps ~ 💜

Still confused why they didn't give the players high elves. I know they would be basically the same model as the blood elves but that lore feels so forced.

Because the Highelf race story and lore..-is- the Bloodelves. A name change does NOT define a new race. A small militia of pro-alliance highelves does not define a new race. They created the voidelves who are based on the highelf story but have their own destiny now. It isnt difficult.

I hope they have some quest-lines in the featuring friction within the Alliance between the more "holy" elements spear-headed by the light-forged and some fanatical Priests and Paladins against the more unconventional elements of the Alliance such as the Void Elves, Warlocks, and others who do not worship the holy light. That is a potentially golden opportunity for story telling.

It is a force of nature. Force of nature that is opposing the Void. Naaru are avatars of this force of nature, it's personifications. Of course in most cases Light is making good influence on mind. But [it is] making influence and this influence may be big, big and dangerous. Case of this Lightbound proves it.

@@user-xw5xo3bv1n Light does not make influence like the void. It is the opposite. They act on person fait. Turalyon power did not unlock during second war because he doubt his action was the right cause. He only unlock it near the end of the second war when he truely has faith in himself.

So the blood elves got exiled by the alliance for using fel magic after being very close allies for so many years. Then the blood elves exiled some of their own tribe for experimenting with the even more dangerous void magic. As a result these void elves are welcomed back in the alliance after several bloody years of fighting alongside the horde... but hey with a little bit of alleria´s training the void elves can achieve what the titan sargeras, queen azshara or other corrupted beings of azeroth failed with, so don´t worry about the void whispers. Moreover how can someone call the void elves an "allied race" ? It´s just Magister Umbric with some of his followers, how many are they, maybe 20 - 50 ? Last but not least, this dangerous void power isn´t even worth it, because void elves just have some minor new racial abilities and a purple skin, but no real advantage compared to the other races.

Well... Every day they seem to get new members. In the Ren'dorei starting/hub zone you can see Sin'dorei and Quel'dorei visitors. So the message clearly spreads around the elven communities. And about the contradictions you mentioned... Years passes, wars ended a new leadership appeared amd a new war was born. "Times change"

the alliance didn't exile anybody if we're going by the shitty retcon lore the high elves left the alliance between wc2 and wc3 and then pretty much just watched while lordaeron was being overrun by the scourge and the complained that the alliance which didn't even really exist at that point didn't help them but of course, anything after wc2 isn't canon and doesn't exist
