It's not because of that, you are not just buying it for those materials, I could buy the Gucci materials for much less if I looked into it, It's just the brand itself has the reputation for being expensive (by being expensive in the first place) along with the fact that celebrities buy them as fashion statements which makes them wanted by the public. In a way, you are buying just to say that you have bought something expensive lol.

@@alexhami185 i did not say anything negative, i was simply emphasizing how luxury brands can and will put overpriced items to make the public crave for it. They are playing with the human desires of longing for something you can't have because it's too damn pricy or because it's a limited edition. People go crazy for that limited edition shoes and will pay way overpriced to have it but at the end of the day, the price of bringing that shoes to life is the same as any other shoes, you just paid for it more because you were convinced that it's superior than the other. It's a marketing strategy plain and simple.

@@jeshua09181987 Would gladly support & pay $1,000 for a quality, one of a kind, handcrafted piece by people who are passionate about their craft than $500-$1000 for a pair of “limited” sneakers that were made in a factory by gravely underpaid & workers who are taken advantage of in all the ways. Yes, people do go crazy for that overpriced pair of shoes and those are typically made in and by the above mentioned. But quality craftsmanship is exactly what it is and deserves a fair asking price. NOT Jordan’s that cost $200 and are made in 15 min for $17.00. I digress. Lol What isn’t mentioned is their animal materials. I hope they’re ethically sourced.

1000 is not that much for a luxury hat, but I ‘m saddened by the fact that people will pay that much for a hat that looks like it has been abused. My niece and nephew were visiting and they commented on how much the liked my faded torn jeans I told them I liked them better 10 years ago when the were dark blue and not ripped , the funny thing is I paid less than $15 for my jeans got lots and lots of use , they paid $100 for their jeans that were already worn out . I can't wait till rusted out beat down pickups become fashionable so I can trade mine in for a luxury suv , any takers?

It’s funny how much he focuses on saying the time it makes to make one or how much the material costs. He really knows how to “justify” the price lol.

Its his business. Its a free market. If he wants to sell his hats for $10,000 and people will buy it, then more power to him.

@@chrisodom817 oh and there’s plenty of people who will pay it. I’m not hating on the business I just think it’s funny because a lot of celebrities and stuff will pay the price because of that bs 😂

I want to make a block and try my hand at it. I’ve reshaped and stiffened hats...but there’s something to making one that intrigues me. I can feel it when I watch hat making videos...the texture and tension. I gotta try it.
