When I was asked to try out a funny-looking electric bike from a company named Aventon called the sinch whose great party trick is folding in half, I said sure if you want to send me one, but don’t be surprised if I hate it.
I’ve had this funny-looking bike for a few months now, and I have to say, I don’t hate it. I love it.

I had a bike to commute to work before getting the car I have now. I definitely tried those little motor kits on it but I think Im just too heavy for those little kits.

I got a folding ebike as a way to get home if the car ever broke down or I had to abandon it. However, just as you found out, I also enjoy riding it just for fun. I might pedal a bit for fitness, but if there's a hill in my way, I just zip right up. Fat tires are tons of fun for sure. 😊

And you keep it on a bike rack on your call 24/7? Does it fit on a roof rack? Or just a standard of the trunk rack? What's that thing weigh?

@@jakeminner6650 Just had it folded up in the back of my Subaru Forester. I do not have this exact brand, mlne is an Emojo Lynx Pro folding bike, but same idea. Mine weighs 55 lbs with battery in it. I am going to look up Colion Noir's as I am in the market for another one for my fiancee.

Yeah, that's the power of editing and marketing. Have you ever heard the term movie magic? That's it. They can take something that's even stupid and make it look cool. All smoke and mirrors though. Nothing about an e-bike would make me get rid of my motorcycle in exchange for it. The only place I can't take my motorcycle is on bike trails. But I have a regular bike for that because I like exercise. E-bikes are unsafe and impractical. I always smile when I buzz by one on the street, then look in my rear mirror as they get swarmed by two ton vehicles. No thanks.

E-bikes make their riders smile. This 75 year old has put a couple of thousand miles on mine in the past couple of years. They bring out the "kid" in all of us, no matter what our age is. Enjoy your rides, Colin.

E-bikes are a joke. For everything it does like a motorcycle I would rather have a motorcycle in every way. And for everything it does as a bike I would rather have a regular bike for the exercise.

@@Saanonymous80 @Stephen Alley He probably has the car that goes around the trunk. If you break down so often you need a vehicle in your vehicle, spend the money on a better vehicle. Also, it's called a truck bed. And yes, it will fit a motorcycle. Quads, too.

I got my Aventon Sinch a month ago and it definitely is a joy to ride. I am not a hard-core cyclist or mountain biker, just someone who enjoys biking around the way we used to as kids - for fun and the see the neighborhood. Since I live in a hilly area, biking on a regular bike is quite the chore and not fun for someone like me who isn't in marathon-runner shape. So my regular bike rarely got taken out. Now that I have the Sinch, I have been riding all over the place and recommend to everyone I know to get an e-bike.

I won a folding e-bike on a bet & since I live on a 20 acre farm, I've come to really like it. But the folding handle bars are starting to get lose in their latches' fit, so if you get an e-bike don't get folding handle bars.

I'm on 200 and can am is pretty much entirely out of stock as far as i can tell. Can these tow a small trailers for salt and maybe square bales?

@@CtrlAltRetreat it could tow a trailer but it will be small, like less than 30" x 30" on 20" wheels so max weight would be around 150 Lbs. So you could do it but you would need at least 1000w of motor power to pull anything like what you said confidently, especially if you have hills. Get one, you won't regret it, very stealthy for hunting also, best use imo.

@@DRHUMMER1 Sounds handy. Is this the brand you'd suggest? It sounds like you already have one and are enjoying it. I've got about 80 of my acres in backwoods for hunting but thinking about riding into a thorn vine at 25mph sounds unhealthy. If I clear a lot of the underbrush it sounds like fun though.

@@northdakotaham1752 Yeah, I was trying to land the canam version of the gator but none were in stock. Kubota has some available and i suppose the John Deere dealer in Giddings might have gators in stock. I take it you've got one? What are your thoughts?

Got my first E bike 2019. Rad power bike rad rover. Full size bike with fat tires. I truly enjoy riding it over my cars n motorcycles at times with the same satisfaction for that moment of need. Reminds me of my younger days when it was my only choice of transportation but bringing back the adventure and fun without the physical demands of one being a youthful individual able to pedal uphills and maneuver in different terrains. It’s truly a sense of freedom and adventure being stealthy at the same time. Heck it’s also great exercise with help when needed. Thanks for sharing .

This was really cool to see. I have a folding fat tire electric bike similar to this one with a 500w motor, had it for almost a year now and it’s been a life changer. It’s really good especially if you don’t have a car or catch the bus to get around everywhere. I even installed a custom seat with a back rest just for that extra level of comfort and back support.

Hey man, love your love of Sinch. I love my Sinch !! Call it “Hill Leveler” for retired geezer. I’m watching you bike right now due to yet more ugly 40 mph wind gusts out there. Been 4 whole months of wind, the first 4 of 2022. I think I’ll bundle up in heavy winter gear and go anyway, to heck with it. Another benefit of e-assist, ez push back the wind. I put a very nice Italian seat on it $50 for excellent comfort. Adding a “drop seat” post, flick a lever on handlebars and seat drops 4”, stand on pedals and flick again, it raises up. Great for stops to get off tiptoes and for ez stiff leg up and over seat for on/off. The first month I had 842 miles on it. A regular bike, I would’ve done about 250 miles in a month. Got a narrow motorcycle ramp to run it up into truck bed and carefully lay it down. A DC powered small air compressor in saddle bag to keep emergencies at bay. The Hill Leveler. “Keep on Sinchin”.

Definitely looks like an awesome ebike. A couple years ago I took my mountain bike and built it into a moped, thinking that I would have the freedom to choose wether too use the pedals or the 80cc engine. Since then I've had a BLAST, but it's impossible to pedal beyond firing it up. It's more of a motorcycle for poor's than what I originally had in mind. There is too much friction due too the drive chain for the motor. This bike looks like the creation I originally envisioned, hopefully one day I will be able to try one out!

I just bought one. It’s awesome! The only thing I did different was I bought a different seat. I didn’t even try the old one so it may have been good, but I always buy super comfortable seats when I buy things like bicycles. Very happy with it. When you’re writing it, you wouldn’t even know it was a foldable Ebike

As a hunter I have a Quiet Kat Jeep fat bike with a cargo trailer. I packed mules for over 20 years. But two artificial discs in my neck from football? Has sidelined me. I had extreme vertigo, and nerve damage. At 52 this year I need to be more careful. It hurts. Mules are a ridiculous back country tool. And bikes of any type are not allowed in wilderness areas. So now I ride my ebike on logging roads and legal trails and hunt that way. It’s pretty cool, glad you like yours bud! Take care!

I did not expect this on this channel, even more I did not expect to buy two Aventons. Came here for normal 2A content. Watched this Sinch video, decided to give Ebikes a try. We rented two from Electric Spinz in St Pete. Purchased an Aventure and a Level from Aventon. These bikes are really fun! If Aventon Is good with Colton Noir, then I am good with Aventon. Give these bikes a try.

I bought my buddy a $180 jetson bolt pro. Top speed 11 mph. I rode it through the ploughed field behind my house. It was a blast. Electric bikes are fun on a bun. And, at least where I live, they are legal on all public bike paths so long as the bike's top speed is 20 mph or less. I don't own one because I live miles from anything on a never patrolled, rural road with a 55 mph speed limit and drivers moving in excess of 100 mph, but I've been eyeballing a Lectric XP anyway.

Also, awesome thing about these type of bikes, they even go on sand and damn snow! comfortable too. works down to -30 degrees celcius, makes no noise but has the power of a moped. i love my bike so much and regret not getting mine before. also, getting to decide when i want excercise vs when i wanna go somewhere is probably the biggest plus for me. Qualiy vid bruh :)

Wait til you try the Step Through version. I have had Aventon Sinch ST since mid-June. I ride it practically every day. Great way to unwind and get some exercise. Battery recharge costs about 40 cents. My average range per charge is about 40 miles. I can't think of a way to have more fun at a penny per mile!

Folding ebikes are definitely a thing. I find it curious that this company reached out to you (a gun channel) when I've not seen the bike reviewed by any of the bike or electrical bike channels I follow. That being said, it looks like a great bike, and the price seems decent for what you're getting. Just keep your eye on the hinge mechanism and whatever locks it into the open position. You don't want that to fail.

Very similar to the Area 13 avenger model. Several companies make similar styles, probably from the same factories in China. Aventon is a well known brand but, imho, the avenger is a better value.

I'm 51 years old old and 2200 kms on my Mountain bike last season here in Edmonton. I have 27 broken bones , 2 plates an 10 screws in left tibia Still. I am a Crazy Canadian Trucker too an if you don't want that Road bike (They know your b/s ing too ).. u can send it my way 😉... Happy 2022 and the Different between electric an non-electric is 25 lbs.... On you !!!..

I bought a Lectric XP and i love it too … i also bought a Himiway … they are fun to ride … i did a front hub motor on the Lectric so now mine is ALL wheel drive and it goes up steep hills @ 22mph … it will go 35 on a nice smooth flat road …. I use mine on my deerlease .. 😂😂. It’s quiet and the deer don’t know what to do with me when they see me … 😂😂😂😂

People need to note most of these ebikes aren’t like electric scooters where you put in no effort but rather they’re more like a power assist in a push mower, they’re really great for hilly areas and going longer distances then you’d be able to or want to pedal without the assistance of the electric motor but still with the exercise benefits of biking

We loved the video sir. Like most people say, you can make a video about anything and suddenly people will want it. I’m looking at one of these e-bikes when I start hunting regularly again. I have a spinal fusion and dragging a deer, hog, or coyote a mile in the woods is just not doable.

I know what you mean about freedom, I fixed motorcycles professionally for 11 years. I worked on cars and jet aircraft before that. But there is something special when you find the bike that just fits you. The road, field, or path just calls and you say I am on my way.
