Jollof rice is originally a staple of West African cuisine and extremely popular. There are hot debates about which country makes the best. A rather fancy jollof rice is served at London's Akoko restaurant. Here, British-Nigerian chef Ayo Adeymi combines jollof rice with lobster and turns it into fine dining dish. The restaurant's goal is to put a new spin on authentic West African dishes and introduce them to a new audience. We were on site to find out how it works.

London is now home to 3 African restaurants with Michelin stars,Chishuru and Akoko with 1 star each and Ikoyi with 2 stars. It's also home to the only 2 Michelin star Chinese restaurant A.Wong outside of Asia as well 7 Indian restaurants with Michelin stars, the most in the world. When it comes to ethnic fine dining London's the best.

@@burlhorse61The origins of Jollof rice is Senegambia from the Wolof people where the word Jollof originated from, I am a Wolof man myself with families on both countries. Senegalese and Gambian were one, divided by England and France. Research before making a comment
