@@trapster1483 he omitted many reasons for the conflict including the Saudis early on with their anti shia stance building sunni mosques in areas where there were no sunnis and paying tribes to change their sect to align with the saudis's wahabism. It's also omitted that the saudi proposal to replace the president saleh by his corrupt vice president was a saudi attempt to thwart the 2011 "revolution". the guy was supposed to be an intermittent president for 2 years in which there was a national dialogue to establish the new constitution etc, and the saudis helped prolong his reign for another year in which gas prices were raised and that was one of the drives for the houthi takeover. it's also been omitted that while the saudi war against yemen started in 2015, their puppet president of yemen has been living in saudi arabia only appearing to read whatever the saudis agree or promote him to say and using him to legitimise their war against yemen. there's so much more omissions that his feels like it was also sponsored by the gulf stats including the saudis.

I had my first model united nations back when i was 12, and i remember getting Yemen for my delegacy. I was a kid, and researching for the event, i made a 30-40 page doc, encapsulating the complete takover of the houthis in the region, the refugwe crisis with saudi arabia not accepting yemenese refugees, and it being another Syria like situation. It was my first such experience with international affairs and i was left astounded as to how a country suffering through so much, can have negligible media presence given their plight. I felt weird how something so big was happening and no one genuinely gave a damn, and i wouldn't have known this either, if i hadnt specifically gone looking for it. I have had a few experience with these model united nations, later preferring to chose less promiment countries, simply so i could know the world outside the far west, and far east. many years later, nothing has changed, and i hope this channel can also increase the searching aptitude of the new generation, and informing them about the world's ignored places

As Yemeni living in Yemen under the control of Houthies, I thank you so much for putting the effort to mention the deep roots behind the war in my country. Houthies are brutal, they claim that they're fighting the west but they're actually fighting civilians all the time.

Sounds like they are fighting there own thoughts and ideas on how to even live a life at this point. Would there ever be peace you reckon or is that impossible while the people in the area are torn between a more moderate version of islam in the country or a IS style country? Or do you feel there is a diffrent option since you are ffrom there?

I like this style of your videos that just focus on the explaining/geopolitics. These are the types of videos I subscribed for. The recent ones that are more about showing the process side of searching for answers (Like your Gulnara Karimova video or the Merchants of Death editing style) are still fun but not as fun to watch for me. Thank you for producing content!
