I THINK the problem is most parents heap all their expectations on theirs kids when abroad you just want to earn money to sendback home instead of having an open mind what one can achieve long term.

I pray that you will be able to complete super fast and that God will heal you from the trauma and reward your efforts with a great and productive future. Please read Jeremiah 29:11. They may try to delay you but God's plans for you will still prevail. Be encouraged.

I would have stayed in the UK a few years & get deep into the the field of Artificial Intelligence & Machine Learning. Use her skills to work around Deep Neural Networks etc. That would have been making her at a minimum 200k pounds a yr. Going straight back home to work for some small Healthtech company was not an ambitious move. Anybody can have that job at smart with a few certifications under the belt.

Her description of data science as if you have to have all that skills is not totally true at least in USA. Africans always exxagerate things to make other Africans see them as very smart. I know people working as Data scientist in US with just statistics or Computer Science or Engineering and not all that stuff she is mentioning all together. Most companies even only ask for just Excel experience and they teach you the other stuff.
