Robert Okubo was born in the UK, he was raised in Kenya and in 1987 relocated to Maryland. After 5 years he came back home and established a tour company which failed to take off when he tried establishing the same in the US. He however did not let the failure put him down and is now the CEO of 200 Degrees, a company that offers professional cleaning services for both homesteads and the corporate world. They are currently based in Washington DC, Malawi and Kenya.

Good luck Robert, proud of you bro! Most peeps who have returned to Kenya from here (U.S) end up frustrated. I have friends who even committed suicide after returning to the 254. Especially if you've been here for long. I'm going on 24 years now since I came here and I've seen many try to return home....most end up coming back here. Hustling in Kenya is not for the faint hearted ...but with that being said, I have also seen a few move back successfully by having first invested in real estate. If you want to return to Kenya, 1st build/buy a home to live in rent-free and an apartment building that earns rent. That way if your biashara is down, at least you're not starving & depressed over your basic needs. Be careful returning back home folks, make sure ....hell, make double-sure you have your t's crossed and your i's dotted. Good luck.

Just have a Degree in Engineering or Medicine and you will be fine in AMERICA. Don't come to the USA to study easy Courses like Business cuz life will be hell. Too many Kenyan Engineers and Doctors all over AMERICA and they are living well. The Kenyans who don't have Degrees in the USA are the ones who rush back home with sad stories about the USA. DONT COME TO THE USA WITHOUT A DEGREE!

@@joycegona9410 That's the reason why he was doing odd jobs like cleaning houses. That's very common with Kenyans who don't have Degrees in the USA. They work as watchmen, cleaners, flip burgers etc. for 80 hours a week and still don't make enough money to pay these high American bills. Breakdown of a typical AMERICAN monthly bill ... Average rent is $1,500, Electricity is $200 in warm States like California but goes up to $1,000 during Winter in the cold States, Cable is $150 to $200, Weekly groceries is $100, so that's $400 monthly, Car insurance is $100 in the warm States like California but can go as high as $500-$1000 in cold States like New York, Gas is $100, Health Insurance is mandatory and is about $500- $1000 for families ... People who don't have DEGREES end up earning minimum wages which is $12-$15 in rich States like California and as low as $6-$8 in poor Southern States. KENYANS with DEGREES can afford to pay their bill because they earn about $70,000 + in a year. If you don't have a DEGREE, it is impossible to pay these bills and so you have to live like 8 people in one house to share Bill's. That's the reason why you hear some KENYANS hating on AMERICA because they work 80 hours weekly and can't make ends meet. Am telling you the truth ... DONT COME TO AMERICA WITHOUT A DEGREE! Or ensure that your parents have enough funds to get you through School for your first DEGREE otherwise you will end up homeless in these cold AMERICAN streets like some Kenyans who don't have DEGREES. Finally it's not smooth sailing like back in the early 2000's when illegal Kenyans could just drop out of School and work 2 jobs to make ends meet. President Trump is deporting illegals in the hundreds of thousands. So when you meet a KENYAN who is back home suddenly without a DEGREE and has bad things to say about the USA, then know TRUMP deported him/her. AMERICA values DEGREES and so KENYANS with DEGREES have better jobs to sustain their families and their joint incomes is about $150,000/yearly and that's close to Kshs 15,000,000 and these are the KENYANS who never come back home because they are earning about the same money as Kenyan MP'S ... FACTS.

Great work! Have been away in Europe in an 8 hr job for 30 yrs . I came back to Kenya two years ago and I have not gone back. Please do not come back to Kenya to hussle ! I can tell you that if you have been out of Kenya you do not come back home to hussle. The quality of life in Kenya is the best. Trust me
