Yo! What's up guys. 10 years ago, I decided that I didn't like myself very much and I wanted to reinvent myself.
That year, I wrote down on a piece of paper, "The Ultimate Dude." In other words, what was the most badass version of Alex that could possible exist - like the Dos Equis guy.
What would it take to become that kind of guy?
Over the last ten years, I've spent my life going after that, and becoming that guy I respected and ultimately, admired.
In this video I want to share with you my own "10x" your life philosophy, and how to try it in your own life.

I'm really sorry to hear about your friend. Off the top of my head, I would have to say that my three goals are 1) Learning to love myself 2) Learning to live with purpose 3) Make the world a better place. I already know what my passions are (I love languages and traveling the world, music is also a big part of my life and I'm passionate about protecting the environment), I just need to figure out how I can implement these skills to make the world a better place. On a personal level, I want to become the healthiest, happiest version of myself. For years (and I'm only 23), I've been on and off diets and exercise regimes, constantly feeling like I'm stuck in a hamster wheel of failure. I've been about 15-25 pounds off of my ideal weight for as long as I can remember and really just don't feel comfortable in my own skin, which kind of sucks. I would really like to have a breakthrough and manage to change my life to become the best version of myself. Wish me luck :) Love your videos, keep it up!

It would be good if there was a recap in the description or at the end of each step in words just to help visualize what needs to be done.

I love hearing people's journey stories so far as they head towards their goals. Cool to see a fellow Portlander after going down a rabbit hole of journaling/get things done/self-improvement videos!

I really want to thank you for your awesome videos. I deal with personal development a long time but I like your videos the most since you seem very "down-to-earth". (Sorry, English is not my first language. I don`t know if it is the right term.) Many coaches seem like they are very far away from their audience but you are different. You show frankly that you are not perfect and that you did many mistakes in your past yourself.

By the way, do you know the movie or the book "Peaceful warrior"? It is one of the books/movies that inspired me the most. You kind of remind me of the guy from the movie.

Nizessia I totally agree , I have seen many guys telling people they should change and they were like ''you suck , you have to become like me'' , they didn't actually say it but I just felt it thay way , But it's really different with Alex.

the part of the friend commiting suicide was shocking and sad 😔 is heartbreaking to know that even people with goals, dreams and hopes can fall into the pit 💔

My goals are just to get back what I had but lost, due to backsliding (like a chronic foot injury that seems to be gone now): 1.) Routine Exercise regiment. 2.) Veggie diet (but with dairy). 3.) Daily Qigong practice. 4.) Daily meditation habit.

Shaking Qigong and some introductory Qigong I found on KZfaq to get started. There seem to be many forms to learn. One interesting thing I noticed is when the intro video I found brought up Dantian breathing & I realized that I hadn't been breathing from that low in my abdomen in the past. Now it seems to be happening naturally after I had taken notice of it. It's funny how you can make a correction after noticing it & it just sticks. The same thing happened after my septoplasty at the start of the year. I had spent decades breathing through my mouth when I slept due to my nose restricting air but after the operation, my body instantly adjusted to breathing through my nose all night without having to think much about it. It was really interesting to witness my body going through these changes. An improvement is made, the body responds positively.

Thanks for this video. Really great information, and I like your presence. I’m so very sorry about your friend. One of my goals for the last year has been to look into working in suicide prevention. My background is in family therapy, but I haven’t practiced since my 16 year old was born. Many fears and confidence issues for me, but I am ready to get my toes wet in this scenario. Sending good vibes to you! ❤️

Thank you Alex :) I think I will also start to have a strategy book, it seems like a smart way to motivate oneself when there does not seem to be a solution. I tried it two weeks ago with giving up trying to get together with someone and after filling my note I felt motivated to not give up and it helped so much! so thank you :))

This is glorious, I have been researching "examples of life goals" for a while now, and I think this has helped. You ever tried - Farnicaas Switcher Capitalisation - (do a google search ) ? Ive heard some pretty good things about it and my mate got great results with it.

Hey man, great stuff really. I feel like I have been implementing a lot if your suggestions. What have recently noticed though is that I have stuff all over the place and not really organized. When you were developing your rituals and journaling habits - did you have several different note books and pages upon pages of stuff sort of slung all over the place and not have it organized cohesively in one place for a bit more order?

Hi!! I have a question, I love setting goals but it always gets me a little confused. My passion is musical theatre, I have finished my second year of college so when I think of goals I think of ‘voice/vocal quality’ ‘fitness/dance’, but then is that considered a ‘career goal’? But they are just my goals because it’s my passion, and they will obviously help my career in the long run. Would love to hear back, it’s just a little thing that kind of confuses my brain especially if I want to write them down. Thanks for your videos!

Hey William. He was bipolar, and had some ups and downs recently in his life, and he said he didn't feel like he had the internal strength to pull himself out of the darkness he saw coming - he did it so many times before, this time he was out of gas.
