Here are 3 easy ways you can use to find and access your Synology Diskstation for the first time or if you're having trouble.
The first method is by opening a web browsers and in the address bar type diskstation:5000 and press enter. This is the default name of your Synology Diskstation so if you've called this something else during setup you can type the name you gave it, followed by a colon and then 5000. In my case I called this diskstationfast so I would type in diskstationfast:5000 , but you would probably use diskstation:5000.
The next method would be to visit find.synology.com and do a search. The website will scan and try to find a Synology Diskstation on your local network via your web browser.
The final method that is most likely to work is to install the Synology Assistant. This software scans your local network for Synology Diskstations and then presents you with a list that you can double click to visit the main web interface. It's really easy and very quick.

Hi gordi, my network card just stopped working today, y tried to replace it for a new one but my synology ds1517+ just dosnt reconegnize the lan network. Im asking to you, cause synology support service is slow and useless :S. Thank you

morning, my Synology password and login is working fine but when I go too login via website Diskstation, keeps saying password or username is wrong but it is not! what can I do about this? many thanks

Sorry, that doesn't do anything. Can't find diskstation on LAN. LAN status light is green. Blue light on my DS214se won't stop blinking. Reset button has no effect. Pulling power and powering up again repeats the cycle. Do you have a follow-up video? Thanks.

Hi, how long are you letting it boot up for before trying to access? Can take a while. Also, have you tried accessing via IP address? Normally a blinking blue light means it's booting or there is a problem trying to boot or something.
