My buttons seem to not be working when I tried to access bios. This method helped. So I could get in to bios and turn off that fn button. Thanks!

I just spread tostitos cheese (has to be tostitos) on my keyboard and that fixed it!

On a Toshiba Satellite L655 that zooms past entering bios on startup, instead of pressing just F2 to enter Bios, press and hold both ESC and F2 at the same time as you press the power key. Once you're in Bios, reset 'Boot Speed' from Fast to Normal. This might work on other computers also.

Thank you so much ! THAT WORKED : "press and hold both ESC and F2 at the same time as you press the power key". I didn't have UEFI in the options nor were the other keys working.

May God bless you, our teacher. By God, I have a problem with the Toshiba Satellite Pro model R50-B-15J laptop. The problem is that it starts, writes Toshiba, and turns off. I emptied the charge, removed the battery, and put it back in. The same problem remains. I tried to charge the BIOS and restart it. It became a black screen. I restored the old BIOS. Same problem, replaced. I used the flash drive, 32q32, and I charged the old BIOS with it. The same problem remains. Can you help? Thank you.

I have a Toshiba Laptop with a clean aftermarket installation of Windows 10 and lack the "UFEI Firmware settings" option, can I get it back? If yes, how?

It depends if Windows 10 was installed in Legacy mode or UEFI mode. To check this: 1) Hold Windows Key + R (to open the run box) 2) type in 'msinfo32' and press enter 3) Find the list option of "Bios Mode" and see if it says Legacy or UEFI 4) If it is in Legacy then you will not have these settings and will require a conversion to UEFI. This will be done by converting the MBR disk to a GPT disk. More info on converting to UEFI/GPT Disk can be found here: www.makeuseof.com/ways-to-fix-missing-uefi-firmware-settings/

Thanks... now.. about drivers. Am trying to install Nvidia, ADM and Intel pentium but every this drivers keep saying...no compatible drivers detected or no ADM software driver detected things like that. How can I go about this

Hi Rob. I am sure u are aware that Asus has updated their Bios so that users can have TPM 2.0 enabled in order for them to be able to install Windows 11. I am in the toshiba Bios but i cant find the TPM settings anywhere. Can you locate this and also confirm if this is available as i belive some companies will start following Asus. Tk u.

A friend put some water by mistake on his Toshiba Kira W8 (or 8) and we save the computer.(It's what i though) But the day after, the boot of the pc turn non stop on the logo Toshiba at the begininng. I try to access to the Bios by typing F2 at the start. But i have only the logo and the text "Toshiba Setup Utility"....nothing more. Does that mean there is a problem on the bios or in the hardware ? Is it possible to reboot the bios directly by the hardware ?

I would assume it has something to do more with the water that got spilled on it. It probably cause a short on the board somewhere

Hi.. Excelente vídeo.. My hard drive on laptop R940 just died and I am replacing it.. Can I get access to that menu once I install windows 10 and can I replace the drive with a ssd drive? Your help is appreciated

If its a Toshiba laptop, yes you should be able to access it, and yes you can replace your hard drive with a SSD, its a good way to speed up slower, older laptops with traditional HDD's

Cant get into bios or get into the laptop.. this is missing the point for me.. just boots windows but no key will enter the bios.. boots windows and I have no password (kids changed by accident and no access) want to use my windows 10 repair cd to remove password.. If your computer has the TPM 2.0 Chip then it will be enabled / disabled through this boot menu. It should be under security settings. It is possible that your computer doesn’t have this TPM chip depending on how old it is.

Hi, For which model of Toshiba exactly do you present this BIOS? Do you perhaps know if Toshiba Dynabook SATELLITE PRO C50D Ryzen 7 has also hdd password on security tab?

Does your setup utility look the same as mine? What version of windows came preloaded on the laptop? Could be an earlier version of the setup utility.
