So I had this problem today. I'm on this channel after watching three videos but none worked. I was able to fix it with just a simple step. Care to guess? I removed my Laptop battery (it was kinda dusty and I cleaned it. Not sure if it contributes to fixing the problem) put it back in and then waited few seconds before booting. It worked like Magic. I used this solution to fix most problems on my laptop (Toshiba) anyway. Hope it works for you

I played with this Toshiba for a week, and didn't know what the heck! But I'll tell you what caused the problem. It is a Windows 8 computer that was upgraded to Windows 10 (In my opinion, that is a downgrade, I like 7 myself). I got the thing from a thrift store for free because it was "Password locked". So I maneuvered around and got it to load a version of Linux, only to arrive at "Reboot and select a bootable device" upon start-up. In my case, I had to switch from UEFI to CSM but had to re-install the Linux OS. So thank you very much! You-da-man! Where do I mail the check? LOL

toshiba sat laptops are such garbage, cant even install windows 10 or windows 7 via UEFI or CSM as the latest bios firmware are garbage, ofc my cheapest motherboard i ever personally owned have been 300 dollar which i assume is the same price that you get the whole toshiba trash for? trying to reinstall win 10 for a cheap friend and nothing works and I have built tons of PC and installed operating systems, legal and pirated since windows 3.1/3.11 ffs no one should ever buy toshiba satelite

I dont have that Boot mode, its missing reeally missing. That's why i can't see the "uefi". Yours is just disabled but in my laptop's case there is no such thing.

Hello! I'll be very glad if someone helps me with my problem. So here it is: I have a Toshiba laptop and not much ago my friend and I preinstalled it and installed a new OS - Linux(kubuntu distro). After some time the problem shown in this video started to appear (not turning on) - Toshiba Leading Innovations.. I followed the instructions - I disabled the secure boot then I made it to CSM Boot but after that when I turned the computer on it said that I should "reboot and select a proper boot device or insert boot media in selected boot device and press a key" what should I do Also the date and the time are correct

Hey dude. Thanks for the video just had the "no bootable device" issue and tried everything on this video. I noticed on the bios/safe mode menu the HDD/sdd option said none. Opened up the back and the harddrive had slipped out slightly. Pushed it back in and worked perfect.

@@PC_Monkey since it has to be reinstalled. are my all files within the hdd I removed? if so i wouldn't feel bad cause I am wiping out and installing new os. somehow either my drive died at the end of its lifespan or the electrical surge recently happened fried it. idk much about computer repair it's as if one problem leads to another, my luck is at the end of the line. my PC has an i3 do you recommend win10 or 8? does which os cause the system to be slower? I'll see if i can boot os before upgrading other parts

Hi, I know this video is a bit old but ive been searching for almost 2 days now and I cant seem to find an answer.. I have a Toshiba Satellite R50. I replaced the HDD with SSD and formatted it, done with the windows installation however when it restarts/boot, it just goes right back to the start of the windows installation. When I remove the flash drive windows installer and restart the laptop, it cant find any boot drive/OS. Ive check the SSD, the files are all there. Even tried different SSD but still the same issue. HDD reformat goes fine without any problems with the same OS/USB/BIOS Settings. Any help would be much appreciated. thank you.

I faced this issue , it was later identified and fixed by installing new operating system with the help of service centre nearby, and it's again happens , later I use this method shown in video for opening windows and it's worked.... My question is , what to do for this doesn't happen again?

I do not see the link for how to factory reset. Tried all you did here and switching to csm brought up black screen and code set to go back to old settings or insert new boot media to disc drive or something like that. Any insight?

You can create your own Install Media free as seen here; kzfaq.info/get/bejne/ncWFm8x5uMnFg30.html. If the install fails, then its most likely the hard drive is bad. Replace it as seen here; kzfaq.info/get/bejne/qrSgaK6T1J_ZeJs.html. Then install Windows onto the new one; kzfaq.info/get/bejne/m52YrdKDrpPHg40.html.

Thank you so much for your videos! I have a Toshiba satellite. It’s old, but I am retired so I am too! Worked fine, but recently started turning on by itself. I just backed up yesterday JIC and good thing as today it has a black screen with the boot setup. I did the process of f12 to get into the menu. Date/time was fine. I cannot find UEFI/legacy or cms on any screen including the advanced tab, but I did change critical battery wake-up to disabled and sleep and charge to alternative. Shut down. No luck booting on restart. Non,goo just a little blue turning circle. Might be time for a new computer sadly. If you have any recommendations I would appreciate it. Thanks!

If you are not able to change the settings in BIOS or if changing them didn't resolve your issue, then you should move on and try the additional steps seen here in this updated video: kzfaq.info/get/bejne/Zsx3bNtpvM_YiHk.html. What was the result of the diagnostic scan?

I switched from UEFI to legacy/csm...now when i boot my Toshiba Satellite P75 A7200 it stays on the Toshiba screen and I cant access BIOS or anything. Ive tried hardware removal (ram, hard drive, as drive) and nothing changes...my laptop is now a paper weight.😠

I have the exact same laptop as in this vid. i backed-up the original 500GB-hdd on to a external hdd, then restored it on to a 2TB-hdd. I then restored the 500GB-image on to the 2TB replace, all is good. There were no errors generated. I booted from the new 2TB-hdd and the computer gives the message not boot device found. can you please help with any insight you have??? I thank you in advance for your help I used Driveimage XML to create the driveimage of the original hdd.

@@PC_Monkey Bro My Pc works perfectly no problem except I Can't enter the BIOS. It skips the Toshiba Leading Innovation Logo and shows the Windows 10 logo directly in like 1 second.

@@PC_Monkey I Googled it and it said that Fastboot was turned on. Even if it was turned on I can't turn it off because it disables the external ports and only the inbuilt keyboard works and my Inbuilt keyboard doesn't work.

When I changed from UEFI to CSM, the system said there was now bootable drive. Insert the Windows disk and press any key. So I changed everything back. Still stuck in boot loop. Then I tried the method with the usb stick, then chose 64bit. The Toshiba logo is magnified across the screen and the dots continue to loop? I waited 30 mins and nothing. WHAT DID I DO WRONG! 😭😭😭 I then tried that process again but selected the advanced option using F8 which gives you the list under safe mode, I chose start normally and same large logo screen stuck on boot loop! 😐
