As an actibg student I came here, with a critical eye: I was like - here we go, one of these people trying to pull the wool over our eyes. BUT NO..the advice was spot on! So accurate that you know this guys is talking from his lived experience.

Nerves ..get rid of nerves..fear n self conscious ness prevents us from being best Avoid mimicry of others Concentrate on other actor in front of u..be in present Viewing character as u dont seperate urself from character. Living truthfully within the character Physical actuon u shud do lyk if scene is drinking drink in real eat in real Find simple story underneath n wt character is gng through n to connect wid their experience

That's great advice to seek out the commonalities of our personality and the character's personality. I think too often, when I think of characters, I think of them as something separate from me, like an entirely different person, but to think of the character as having some common aspects to myself helps me to understand how it's possible to act authentically.
